“I was a guest at a nearby wedding and the Mushroom Cap was a venue listed by the bride as a nearby option to book for the night/weekend. The photos online made it look so quaint and adorable and seeing it in person did not disappoint! The grounds were well maintained and the rooms were very clean and kept. The cabins on site are due to be reopened after a full remodel and I look forward to booking there again for a longer stay to utilize the nearby summer attractions.”

“The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The view was immaculate. However the shower was never a consistent temperature as if all the rooms were hooked to the same water. If another room flushed their toilet the water would become scalding. You could hear conversations in the parking lot as if they were talking next to you in your room. I had a pleasant stay just not what I was expecting.”

“Jenna was not on site but immediately responded to my text asking to check in early. She kindly told me how to access the key to my room, which was clean and tidy. There were plenty of towels, 2 hand-soaps and a hairdryer, but there were no shampoo/conditioner/lotion available. The beds and bedding were comfortable, which my back appreciated! The water pressure was good and plenty of hot water; the tub however had trouble draining and the towel rack was loose and fell apart when I hung my towel.……

“Warm and friendly reception, clean and neat interior, overall good experience. Unfortunately the sink was clogged before we came in, and happy guests from a wedding were talking loud until midnight ”

“Fine for what it is. Our bathroom was remodeled and clean, but the bedroom itself had some weird stains or something on the wall by the trash can. Fine for a quick, cheap night stay!”

“Even though the hotel was in the middle of renovations the staff was fantastic and made our stay great.”

“Very nice cabins! Whenever we up in the area, we stay here! Only thing you can hear the traffic going by but definitely worth it! The owner is very friendly and helpful!!”

“Wonderful place to stay.”

“This condo is part of an old house and has VERY unlevel floors. Your roller bags will roll away. Other than that, it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom could have used an exhaust fan to keep it from getting steamy with showers. The contact people were very responsive when texted. The lake view and balcony was very nice.”

“Throughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean and cozy. Will stay again. Close to the Tippy Dam recreation area. Only down fall was no washer/dryer”

“This cabin was so incredibly cute. We stayed up there for an extended weekend as a family of 4. My kids loved the cabin and the woods around it. You could tell there was a lot of love that went into that place. It was 2 miles from Fife Lake, which was beautiful. Cute places to eat and explore.”

“We've stayed her for 1 night for the last 4 years when we drive our son to camp . It is clean and has all the basic amenities you need for a night or weekend. Owners very accommodating with request for early check-in. Much better than a hotel for the price. Pet friendly.”

“Host was great and very responsive.”
