“Great location to head into Whitby. A few nice touches from Our hosts who were very friendly. Dog friendly was a huge bonus. All round good standard. Unfortunately the bar/restaurant is closed in the village, but there are plenty of places in and around Whitby to buy food and have a drink. ”

We booked pretty last minute for the bank holiday week in August, so we were worried about the lack of a dedicated parking space. However, we were able to park either on the road outside or in the car park round the corner every day - so not a problem at all.”

The kitchen was well-equipped; it even had a teapot (rare these days). We enjoyed sitting in the garden. Although in the middle of a busy village it was very quiet. As we don’t drive we used public transport, but car owners would like the parking spot outside the house.Unfortunately we had an emergency at home which meant we weren’t both there all the time,……
