“Exceptionally good. Ice maker in corridor. Coffee machine in room. Bed was so comfortable. You will have everything you need in room. Free in house car park also safe and convenient for traveler. Breakfast served hot and with buffet table.”
“All good. Had room upgrade. Room was a good distance but was large and comfortable. Bed was around 4feet off the ground in our room called William but was very comfortable. Staff were all very helpful. Had one small issue which was we were not allowed in the garden area to have drinks early evening although we did order some popcorn cauliflower. We were asked to go in a small area outside. It was very early and very quiet so couldn’t agree it was right to not allow us in the lovely garden……
“Beautiful historic hotel, a little out of the way but worth the commute trouble. Staff was excellent. Room was spacious and plenty of amenities. The downstairs restaurant had a stellar full English too”
“Breakfast is really good although choices are limited even on Christmas day. Room is small considering the hotel is located quite a remote location in suburb London and there is rare public transport going there.”
“One issue was the shower which needs a grab handle to assist getting in and out as the bath is high. The other one is that the hotel no longer does breakfast, so you need to be aware of that”
“In my opinion, the apartment is pretty good expect that its location is a little inconvenient, as need in designated Hotel to arrange check in service. Room is tidy and clean. Overall check out arrangement is quite good and simple. ”
“I had clean bedding/ towel and somewhere to park. The housekeeper who greeted me was friendly and couteous. So far so good. However, the rooms are in a converted pub (but the pub isn't open) and to call it a 'hotel', I think, is stretching the definition. I would say it's more like an HMO/hostel. There was unfinished laminate flooring in the corridors which was noisy when people were walking past, the kettle had to be put on the floor to reach the plug socket and the shower tray was damaged and……
“The hotel is lovely. Lots of little touches in the room and excellent service from all of the staff. The pub is perfect. Great service, great food, lovely beer garden and beautifully decorated. It’s the kind of pub/hotel you want as your local. ”
“Minutes from shopping, 10 min walk to train station, 10 minutes to Ted Lasso Pub, Richmond Park 15min walk. Great central location.
Very Posh, loved the heated bathroom floor. Breakfast was wonderful, worth every pence (penny).
Room is UK sized so if you are expecting a large North American hotel room remember UK and European rooms ain’t that. Our room had a queen bed but still didn’t feel cramped.
I struggle to think of a negative if only to add some legitimacy to my review but can’t……
“Fantastic property, accommodations and service.
Set along the River Thames, you can walk to all the shopping and dining Richmond has to offer, or take the Bus which stops directly in front of the hotel driveway.”
“Safe destination for solo female traveller visiting Hampton Court Palace. Staff very friendly & helpful. Excellent breakfast. Will be back next year. Thank you. ”
"Location is good, many shops nearby like Primark, Boots and supermarkets, but 10 mins walk from tube. Room condition is average, no slippers provided."
"I accommodated here with my mum who's in wheelchair & I remarked our condition in the booking before checking in. However, I found the bathroom is the same as ordinary people when I saw there's a step up to the shower cubicle. As the bathroom floor doesn't have sewage, she's unable to take shower over the stays. As it's co-operated with Ibis in the same building, I'd rather go for Ibis next time as they literally provide a full accessible bathroom to us last year. Although Mercure is new renovated, I saw a group of insects gathering at a corner of the ceiling. Anyway, they rapidly arranged another room for us. Overall, their hygiene is fine in acceptable."
