“Room was very clean with great view over fields from window. Staff helpful & personable. Breakfast very good & most welcome. A great place to stay.”

“The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The shower was slightly weak. Good internet access. The evening meal was excellent. Breakfast was okay; cheap quality fruit juice. Limited fruit.”

“Food was great, staff very helpful, bar and dining room very tidy and clean, good range of drinks, both alcoholic and soft although I am out of touch with prices so had a bit of a shock. This is not a negative, just reality. Plenty of parking and convenient at the rear to avoid stairs. Some areas are in need of decorating such as stairwell and corridors however not terrible. Outside areas need tidying around the back of the building but the beer garden/smoking area was good. Wheel chair……

“The sash window was held up with two bits of wood when we entered the room, although cold outside, once closed we knew the reason why, the room had the most horrendous smell even worse in the bathroom. I had to buy 2 air fresheners, but they didn’t help. Furniture stained, crockery chipped and no spoon for making tea/coffee. No breakfast as the kitchen is closed. Positives - towels, when we got them were clean and the bedding was fresh otherwise we wouldn’t have stayed. Thank goodness for only……

“Staff efficient but robotic and lacked empathy. Bedroom tired and the lighting was inadequate when applying make-up. Dim lights might be romantic but a dressing table with a proper lamp so you can see what you look like is essential! Hot water in bathroom basin very slow in coming through and the toilet seat is misaligned ”

“Lovely Hotel in a great location. The views are stunning, the hotel is located directly on the beach. Our signature room was amazing, very clean, large bathroom, water bottles replaced every day and every amenity necessary. Restaurant was fabulous, with a great , varied menu. Very friendly staff, and a well kept, clean beach. Would definitely recommend this hotel.”

“We had a lovely 3 day stay here. Staff were brilliant, very welcoming and helpful . The Hotel had a lovely feel about it and our room was lovely with everything we could need. Everywhere was clean, breakfast was amazing. Really great stay and would highly recommend.”

“Breakfast good choice, poached eggs overdone and staff cheerful. Paper thin walls mean you hear every small noise so not great. Lovely grounds to walk in and the nearby Rock Inn pub well worth a visit.”

“Parking was easy and safe. Location of the property was perfect both for accessing Dartmoor and wildlife spotting (lots of unusual birds in the grounds). Staying at Two Bridges was a treat; it is a unique hotel and has an amazing history”
