Clean room and facilities, well kept. Some staff could be friendlier, and the hotel could have more activities for guests. The beach on the property was very nice. Shampoo was not good quality, and washcloths were unfortunately not provided.

We had an ocean view room and it was a beautiful view. The room was nice, however they don't give you very many towels for two people. The staff we encountered were friendly, but had very limited understanding of English. My friend and I speak very little Spanish, so it can get a bit confusing.

Good: Great ocean view! Could be better: More elevators, less stairs. Not for disabled people! The menu variety Allow access to meals once you arrive, you have to wait until 1:00 pm. Bad: The special dinner was not good. We spent two hours and they didn’t bring the order completed. The worst: At breakfast, when I tried to get some foo, the head chef took it away. I asked if I could get some, and he said there wasn’t any left. I asked if he could bring it back, and he said it wasn’t in good condition. Then I asked him why he had let others serve themselves. Five stars for the front desk employees Jesus Aquino was very friendly and professional. The check-in was nice and easy even though was busy. The rooms are very nice and clean, beds very comfortable. The hotel has many levels and mamy stairs with very few elevators and the only one for the main restaurant Cúa was out of the service for one day. Food is the same every day. The structure is very inconvenient for kids, older people and handicaps. They run out of beach towels very often and is almost imposible to get a bed beach ever, even if you get up at 6 am. The other ones were around the pool but they rent it with a package with alcochol and food. The kid pool was close under repair. I when to see one show and was ok but too crowded and no place to seat. Expedia offered a 15% on beverage and food for not all inclusive and that didn't happen they said it wasn't in the system. The employees are great and very friendly. In my opinion the hotel is ok but I will never go back to that place.

Room was good, staff was great,hotel is run down, dirty lift,stairs and corridors. Not enough sun loungers on the beach, 3 different clusters, not matching or as advertised ( there were only few straw canopies/shades and nice loungers, the rest were usual cheap plastics, tired former white canvas umbrellas and loungers). Food was ok( lunchtime was best ) ,not enough fresh fruits or veg,constamtly overcooked prawns, very artificial drinks(flavoured waters), not enough very traditional Mexican dishes. Great salsa,guacamole and steak at lunch though. All in all it wasn't bad as we mainly went for the sun,heat and beach,but hotel doesn't look like photos

The room was excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the pools and Beach access were well looked after. I did not book the all-inclusive and I found that the signage and instructions for what was included and not included was quite confusing. Also when we went for lunch or dinner and tried to pay most of the time it was a real hassle and in fact sometimes was even told that I wasn't allowed to order any meals even if I wanted to pay for them.

Very comfortable modern room, great bed, excellent breakfast buffet. We didn’t do all inclusive but we ended up eating the dinner buffet and it was very good too. Really enjoyed our short stay here. If you want to eat in the specialty restaurants you need to reserve ahead. Very convenient to get to Maya Museum across the street.

We had a great stay in a very relaxing atmosphere! Being from the US I was very surprised as English was rarely heard during our stay and it took some gestures to talk to staff. I really didn't mind that at all. Chairs on the beach were not always easy to get and a lot of them just had towels on them to hold but no one on them. Breakfast and dinner were great, just make reservations in advance, before your trip. Lunch was an issue, no good options unless you want a burger and fries every single day. Making it to the buffet before it closed for lunch would probably be best. If you are looking for a workout, the gym is tiny so don't plan on too much. Overall, it was a great stay with a very nice room and staff and would recommend especially for the price!

The hotel is alright, but there is a lot of construction going on and it is notable that many amenities are not operating as they should. For example, pools are all running with a lower water level than they should and are not heated, the central building is all fenced off and under noisy renovations all day, many areas appear work and unkept. Food is good and staff are friendly, beach is beautiful and rooms are alright. It’s a decent resort, but it doesn’t leave you feeling overly impressed. Bizarrely it’s the only resort of dozens I’ve been to over the years where there’s basically nowhere to sit in the evenings, no lobby space let alone a lobby bar, so if you want to sit and relax after dinner or play cards you’ll be stuck going back to your room. This wasn’t a terrible vacation, but I would not recommend Emporio and would not go back again. Lots of better options out there.
