Try to make reservations for the restaurant when first day I came. And find all the restaurants in hotel are not available except the buffet. and for the rest 4 days of my stay, i can only ate buffet, which is so bad. They also make a mistake on the room.i came with my friend, we booked a 2 beds room, but there is only 1 king size bed room left. Was Told that was the last room they have. So we have to sleep on one bed.

GR Solaris is a nice resort overall. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the beach and pool areas were beautiful, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food was just okay, but we were still able to find things we enjoyed. A good option for a relaxing beach vacation.

Good room service,prompt responce from the front desk. Good food,three restaurants with different menu's. Great grill bar at the swimming pool. Pool bar could be better, drinks very blended and have the same taste. The biggest problem for us was smoking neighbors. Even hotel reinforced non smoking rules,people didn't care and keep smoking without any serious problems. Its very frustrating that we have to deal with this situation, because nobody wants to seat with closed door in the beach front room instead of breathing a fresh sea air. We had to change our room on the 3rd day of our stay because of our smoking neighbors. Management done all efforts to fix smoking problem but its nearly impossible to deal vith rude and disrespectful people who don't care about rules. We had great birthday at the beach and staff helped us to accommodate all our needs. Great place and very good employees!

Stood out definitely employees amazing service from Lizbeth at the bar, darvin and Manuel from the buffet. Food is blah pretty much same everyday. Rooms are nice always have a nice design in our bed from housekeeping. The band at night are all amazing so as the dj. Will definitely come back though

Nous sommes satisfaits par la propreté de la chambre, nous avons adoré le personnel. Herman, notre serveur au bord de la piscine était formidable, drôle et attentionné. This resort was beautiful, staff was amazing! The rooms were super clean, cleaned daily and everything kept stocked! Also loved how clean the pool area was. You would see workers out there daily cleaning and scrubbing everything! They were all so welcoming! If I had to say a negative thing at all, the only thing would be the food was not our favorite. This is the second resort we have stayed in, in Cancun, and the last one by far had better food! The food was good still just nothing that stood out! We also loved how there was always entertainment, they always had something going on!

Staff was awesome. Room very clean. Buffett choices were cut back as well as entertainment shows were cut. Not because of super staff but management meddling. Employees from front counter and housekeeping to food service and all entertainers were super friendly, polite were off the charts. It seemed that was lacking were understaffing and over worked. Overall a great time was had!!

Very cold welcome, no introduction given about the property, left to yourself to find available amenities, the scan code provided for information didn’t work, dinner bookings were patchy which sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t; dinner was served on many days in dingy dark ball room because of some renovation going on in main buffet area; buffet food quality was very average; mexican and italian dinner restaurant were good; misleading beach pictures on website.

When we first arrived we got the worst room with the worst view ever. Overlooking a building that looked like it was under construction even though we paid for an ocean front room with 2 double beds. We ended up getting a room with 1queen bed and a Murphy bed. After complaining to the front desk, we were told there won’t be any rooms available with 2 double beds until the next day. We spent one night and transferred to the oceanfront room on a higher floor with 2 double beds. We debated for a long time before we decided to booked the GR Solaris because of the reviews. The place is nice, but outdated, the staff is very friendly but the food as the other reviewers say is not the greatest at all, the Asian restaurant is the worst. The food has no flavor and everything just seems so greasy and it has no taste. Don’t even waste your time on trying it. The Mexican restaurant was good but the portions are extremely small. The buffet is your best option for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pizza by the pool is pretty good as well. We got a good on this trip so I won’t complain too much but I am very dissatisfied with the food so if you’re a picky eater, go somewhere else and pay a bit more.I would not stay there again because of the food. The alcoholic beverages seem watered down.We were also told we had to download their app in order to make reservations for their 4 restaurant. Apparently you can only eat at 2 restaurants out of the 4 so you can’t even try all 4 which makes no sense.
