The property offered breathtaking views, and the dining experiences were consistently excellent, showcasing a delightful culinary selection. Furthermore, the staff consistently demonstrated friendliness and a willingness to accommodate our requests, making our stay notably pleasant. While it's standard practice for concierge and resort staff to promote various events and services, we found the initial messaging regarding these offerings to be somewhat overwhelming and even subtly disguised upon our arrival. Although this aspect caused a brief period of confusion, it was, thankfully, the only minor drawback during our otherwise very enjoyable stay.

Vip services staff constantly trying to sell you something. Food was average. Pool chairs are reserved with a towel and a magazine but stayed empty for hours. Would probably go back if they got the pool chairs figued out and the vip services didnt bother us consistently with sales and timeshare lunches.

The entire place is very clean. From the rooms to the restaurants, bars and shared restrooms were all super clean. Beach view from our balcony (16th floor) and from poolside was awesome. The staff are all welcoming, friendly and make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. My wife and I stayed there for a week for our honeymoon and their services was exceptional. Special thank you to our bartenders De Dios and Jonathan along with one of our servers Edgar Abigail for going above and beyond to make my wife and I feel and share the special moments at Secrets.

Second time staying at Secrets The Vine and I was not disappointed - the experience was exceptional from beginning to end. Overall service was truly spectacular; warm, attentive, and consistent across the resort. At reception, Eduardo made check-in smooth and welcoming. Adriana and Maria from VIP services were outstanding, ensuring everything was seamless and stress-free for me. The spa was a highlight. Israel and Jose at the front desk was professional and kind, and massage therapists Manuel and Arminia delivered deeply relaxing, high-quality treatments. I also enjoyed a sound therapy session with Christopher which was incredibly calming, transformative and restorative. Dining exceeded expectations. At Dragons, Juan offered excellent wine recommendations, Chef Isidro prepared beautifully executed dishes, and Sebastian provided attentive, polished service. The chef’s dinner was Michelin star level!!! At Market Café, Michelle’s warmth and consistency made every visit a pleasure. Pool and beach time were elevated thanks to Angel and Jaime at the cabanas - professional, friendly, attentive, and thoughtful throughout the day. This resort stands out for genuine hospitality, well kept facilities and exceptional staff. I left feeling rested, cared for, and eager to return. Highly recommend.

Beautiful property, amazing service and staff, one of best beaches we've experienced in Cancun. The room though clean and beautiful, the AC struggled to keep room cool at night, had to request a fan. Nightly entertainment was hit and miss, just not our thing for the most part. The food was biggest disappointment. Had read reviews raving how good the food was, this wasn't our experience. If hadn't been being preffered status our experience would have been much worse as the food for breakfast and lunch around the 12th floor infinity pool was the bright spot of our trip. Which can only be accessed by preferred. In short, if you go, definitely go preferred and lower any expectations of great food and entertainment.

Secrets the Vine was a nice vacation spot for the price. We went there for a five day trip for my 40th birthday. The pros of the hotel are the awesome staff, really great food and nice hotel zone location. My ribeye steak at the Bluewater Grill, daily breakfasts at Olio, and the sushi at Dragons were a real highlight. Mexican night was also great- we ordered a bottle and secured a front table. It was a really memorable birthday dinner for sure! And don't miss the little lobby wine tastings- they were so fun! The cons of the hotel are the pools and the music/entertainment was really geared to the older (like 60+) crowd. We are pool people when we go to resorts and these pools were too cold to enjoy most of the day. They also feel a bit outdated and lacked good flow (especially the back pool). The music was really heavily 70s, 80s, and 90s, especially at night. The cover bands that play in the Red Vine Lounge were playing a lot of disco, which the grey haired crowd really loved but made me feel too young (and I was there for my 40th)! Overall, the trip was nice, we would consider booking again if the price is right, but will likely try out a more lively hotel for our next Cancun trip.

As frequent travelers to 5-star, adults-only resorts in Mexico, this was our first time trying Secrets, and as Hyatt members, we had high expectations. We booked just one night to test the property before moving to another resort, but even that was enough to be disappointed. The lobby and room initially looked modern and clean, but the room lacked basic functionality. The hair dryer didn’t work, there were no proper hand towel hooks, and there were very limited outlets or USB ports near the beds. The shower was large but poorly designed, with weak pressure and inconsistent temperature. We were also not provided a luggage rack, and there was no follow-up after requesting one. Food and service were the most disappointing. Poolside drinks were watered down, and the fish tacos were overly salty and flavorless. Dinner at the steakhouse was worse—both steaks were overcooked, chewy, and lacked flavor. The server never checked on us or acknowledged that we left most of our meals untouched. The buffet for breakfast and lunch was average with limited variety. Overall, this felt more like a 3–4 star experience, not a 5-star resort. Unfortunately, we would not return, and this experience makes us hesitant to try other Secrets locations.

Room Cleanliness 8/10 Lobby Cleanliness 9/10 (Probably the most upkept part of the hotel) Pool Loungers 4/10. Pool 7/10 - the pools were big, but the tile felt slimey. Got the ickies towards the end. Beach view was really nice. Drinks were 9/10. Buffet 5/10 - Food tasted a day old and bread was stale. The fruit was fresh but everything else was mid. The tables and chairs were super dirty and stained, i mean at least get new covers. The restaurants in the hotel were super mid and furniture looked dated. Spa was a 2/10. Smelled soooo gross in the womens lockers, like urine & mold - the smell of musty towels and sewage. Usually when you walk into a spa it smells like Eucalyptus or Lavender in the lobby. Not the case here. They take you through a water journey which is Sauna- if you do a couples massage be aware if someone has the same slot as you they will join you. Massage was whatever - paif extra $80 for hot stones and was underwhlemed. The table where they give you a massage wasnt covered and i just didnt trust the cleanliness at all. The water in the hot tub and tile was also slimey. I asked for my money back of course they said no. Disappointed for sure. But overall we made the best of it. Not the worst, but definitely not 4-5 or 5 star hotel. Definitelu Mid and in DESPERATE need of updates.

The spa was amazing! Alberto at the Cabana and Johnathan behind the bar went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The room and facility were always clean and the food options were good. Olio was my favorite! Loved having an ocean view room!

No night activities, minimal shows or entertainment at night. I wish the food menu in the restaurants would have more variety to choose from. If I would stay another night, I would run out of the food choices. Staff was very helpful and amazing.

This is the third time for us staying at this hotel. It’s always an excellent time. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. Food is excellent. pools are nice.. Best beach view in Cancun .
