"The beauty of the “resort” is its close proximity to the wonderful Siesta Key beach. I use quotations because it’s really just shelter and a pool, although a nice pool. The staff members were very nice and helpful but couldn’t do much for us in upgrading our room as they claim they never got our requests from the 3rd-party broker. "

"The room was modern and clean. No complaints about the room itself. However, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families with children. You have to walk through a bar to get to the lobby, and there were drunk people everywhere. Sketchy people roaming around."

"The room was pristine, well equipped and spacious. Staff were all friendly and took time to ask where we were from and were super helpful. Breakfast was limited but what was on offer was excellent. We stopped at this hotel for a week in 2025 and were blown away by the quality of this hotel. As we were visiting Sarasota for a couple of days in 2026 we had no hesitation in booking the Carlisle again."

"Beautiful property and very well maintained. It’s also in a very good location as you are not far from Anna Maria Island, St. Armand’s Square or Siesta Key. The only thing - you need to pay for the beach umbrellas, but that’s alright as they offer complimentary valet parking, so all in all you still get a good value. It is also an Opal Resorts hotel, so the level of service is definitely superior to other hotels. My husband and I go to Opal hotels all the time, and we always have a great experience. We shall return! 😊"

"I liked the inclusive breakfast. Room (mostly bathroom) was not throughly clean. Couldn’t access my hotel room past a certain hour and the staff mentioned that sometimes there are issues with the keys not opening, which I found it frustrating."
