Poignancy is felt in the air here, but the same waters are now lucid and lovely, jutting up against moss-covered boulders and rocks that seem to dance between shadow and light. 4,000 acres of tranquility are enhanced by a steep but worthwhile climb up 133 steps, where you’ll be presented with 360-degrees vistas that practically beg to be captured. Plants abound on its Lookout Trail and Ethnobotanical Trail, but as “cloud supreme” (to which ‘Iao’s Hawaiian name translates), do know it’s best to arrive in the morning before the fog arrives. Maui Coast Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. Communication with the hotel was outstanding. Anytime we had a question, we could simply text the hotel and received quick, helpful responses. The property was spotless, and our room exceeded expectations. We stayed in the Kai Tower in an ocean view room on the fourth floor, and the view was fantastic. Our balcony overlooked the pools and the pool bar, where there was live music in the evenings, creating such a fun and relaxing atmosphere. The location was also excellent. The hotel is in a great area and within walking distance to many food options, which made it incredibly convenient for meals and evening plans. One feature we especially appreciated was the washer and dryer on every floor. Having complimentary soap pods available in the laundry room was such a convenience. Overall, the combination of excellent communication, cleanliness, comfort, location, and amenities made this a truly enjoyable stay. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Maui."

"I really enjoyed this hotel. The room was very spacious, the staff was very friendly and I loved the location. There is actually a hidden private beach and I love that the parking was super convenient for my rental. The location is great and there are many food options nearby and it s located perfectly 10 min from the airport, 20 min from the road to Hāna and 20 min from the harbor to go whale watching. Overall I loved this hotel !"

"The Andaz is just beautiful. We loved the location, the pool and the activities they offered. The only downside was the pool chairs were hard to get with so many people putting their stuff down and then disappearing all day. They could have enforced this better. But overall we would love to stay again!"
