"The property is located in the heart of Tamarindo, on one of the best stretches of Tamarindo beach. "I really enjoyed our week stay here. The place is very hilly, but we didn't mind so much. You have to make sure you snag chairs by the pool early because it gets HOT in the afternoon and you don't want to get stuck under the sun. The staff was all extremely friendly. I could tell some of them appreciated when you talked in Spanish, they seemed to not expect it from most people, but then got excited when you understood. "The food was good. They had different themes everyday so you have to be open minded to try different foods. They're strict on the restaurant you had to book reservation for. They would Not let us in even though there were open tables. The room was great, service was great and the VIP lounge was fantastic! Pay the extra, it's worth it. We played games, had horsdevours and any drink you can dream up with a strong air conditioner (it was scorching outside) . The nightly entertainment was fun....

"Beware that this is 4.5 hours away from the San Jose Airport! They do NOT inform anyone of this and you need to get to the Ferry to cross over to Tambor which is not 24/7 You need to plan very carefully so you don't lose a day like I did and so many others did that I met at the Hotel. They are also very aware of this and have done nothing about it!! The buffet food is ok. Not the best, but not the worst. You will find something. The Italian ala carte restaurant is excellent! "Good experience. I booked a room with a King bed, but the one I was given had a Double bed; no one ever explained the change. The pools were very good, and the staff was generally good, although there were some cases where they were rude. The evening show was excellent, and there were good activities during the day. As for the food, the quality has dropped significantly. It still offers good variety, but the quality is definitely not at hotel level."
