"The rooms were small but nice and clean, with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The desk chair could’ve been a bit better quality and the fitness center was lackluster, to say the least. The complimentary breakfast was very good (a quite large assortment of items) and the breakfast attendant was very nice and helpful. For the most part, all staff was attentive, with the exception of checkout. The attendant didn’t acknowledge my presence at the front desk for almost 2 full minutes. I appreciate he was speaking to a possible guest on the phone but it’s customary to at least acknowledge the presence of an existing guest in person. Even basic eye contact and hand gesture to “hold on for a moment” while he wraps up. I did have a pleasant stay, otherwise, but this location does not seem to be up to par with the Holiday Inn Express brand."

"It’s a regular hotel room. There’s nothing to complain about unless you’re from the middle of nowhere and can’t handle a little bit of honking or sirens every once in a while, but I thought the rooms were very comfortable. Everything worked as intended. The staff was super friendly and everybody in the surrounding neighborhood is very nice so unless you’re in the city to only see the touristy areas then this will be a lovely neighborhood and a great hotel. However, if you’re the type of person to be afraid of urban environments such as a true NYC neighborhood where people actually live and go to work (not Times Square). If you’re looking for Times Square, this is not for you. If you’re looking for like a regular place with the regular people, this is a great one. I will definitely stay at this hotel again. AC & TV worked great. Reasonably priced vending machines in the lobby."
