Hotel Riu Palace Costa Mujeres - All Inclusive

"Overall, a solid all-inclusive choice for a week-long family holiday. The resort has multiple pools — an activity pool, relaxation pools, and an adults-only pool — giving everyone options depending on the day. Food quality was good, not excellent, but well above average for this category of hotel, with several restaurants offering different cuisines. A few things to watch for: the floors in parts of the hotel can be slippery, so watch your step, especially around the pool areas. The water park is relatively small, so don't expect a major attraction there. One important note on timing: we visited at the end of July, and the weather was very hot and humid. The ocean was too wavy to swim in during our stay, so if ocean swimming is a priority for you, late July may not be the ideal time to visit. One nice surprise: the hotel includes a free shuttle to and from Cancun Airport, run through a third-party company. You need to register/email them in advance to set this up — it's not automatic, so reach out ahead of your trip with your flight details to secure the service. The hotel also offers about $600 in credit per stay for their hotel app/paid extras. Worth noting: these paid services weren't particularly useful for us, so we ended up not setting it up or using the credit at all. Consider it a "nice to have" rather than something to plan around — it's a secondary perk, not a major reason to book. Overall, a good spot for a family week away."

"I'd like to say that we ate the 9 Doors Japanese Restaurant with my family of 23, we had two hibachi cooks, our cook was Marco or Marcus I believe, who was wonderful and funny. Our host Bogart, was excellent, very helpful, and kept us smiling and laughing throughout. He even added some entertainment with his anniversary song to my parents and a birthday song to my nephew. Great times. I really appreciated the buffet hosts letting us sit near one another whenever we entered the buffet."

"Staff and service are the heart of the resort! Value for price feels good overall, yet Preferred Club and resort credit policies keep it from feeling seamless. Butler service is kind but limited and the coupon style credit system makes it harder to enjoy Bali beds and other extras. Room quality is comfortable and quiet with fast cooling air conditioning and blackout curtains, though Bluetooth and minibar could use a tune up. Pool and restaurant staff like Antonio, Martin, and the Portofino crew deliver real personalized hospitality. WiFi is strong in rooms and decent by the beach. In room dining through the app is a standout, offering full restaurant level meals in your suite. Amenities score 8 thanks to great pools, jungle corners, and a spa you could spend a full day in, with room to add more night energy."

"The resort itself is gigantic, but somehow doesn’t feel busy. It’s beautiful and there are so many restaurants to try! The beach is well maintained, very little sea grass. There’s also a dolphin enclosure next door! Between the property and the dolphins there are some guys selling excursions. TAKE THEM! We will Definitely be returning to this property!"

"The staff are sooo welcoming and friendly, they just want to make sure you’re having the best experience so I love the fact that they always check in on you. The food is absolutely amazing and so much variety to choose from. The rooms are so clean and comfy. Everything is super thought through and detailed oriented at this resort. I would stay here again!"
