「The rooms were basic and some bugs got in although we were careful, but the rooms were clean at least. The staff was wonderful. We enjoyed a New Year’s Eve dinner in the restaurant and had the free breakfast one day, it had a nice variety of options. The highlight was the hot springs area. It had a great vibe, very cool with lights and a swim up bar. The grounds were also gorgeous with the vegetation and we saw a few birds walking around too. I would stay again!」

「Honestly if I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. It’s a 10 min drive to town, 30 min walk. The attention to detail here was amazing, the staff cleaned my room daily. The shower was SOOO hot and the private jacuzzi was used daily. If you want a relaxing, beautiful comfortable place to stay look no further. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler. There is security on site and reception is reached through what’s app. 」

「Great stay for family of four with two teenagers. Spacious rooms, great pool. Breakfast was great. They coordinated two tours for us - night walk and sloth tour - both eco friendly and wonderful! Highly recommend and look forward to returning!」

「Great apartment, very clean with nice size and layout. Excellent location with a lot of dining and grocery shopping options. Close to many high end hot spring resorts. The onsite laundry facility is a big plus. The host Alvaro is awesome, very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful stay for three days. The only caveat is the noise that rain drops hitting on the plastic cover that leads to the second floor. Other than that our stay was perfect! 」

「The location is great. It has a on site restaurant and a swimming pool. The food is delicious with local and fresh material. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is clean and spacious, but some noise over the roof, maybe some small animals there. The garden is amazing with beautiful views, a lot of tropical plants. 」

「My stay at Villas Vilma was great. The place is clean, comfortable, and in a really convenient spot for getting around La Fortuna. Adriana and Daniela at the front desk were both incredibly welcoming and helpful, which made everything even better. Be sure to stop by the soda "diner" across the street—the food is delicious and it’s a nice way to enjoy the local neighborhood vibe. Overall, a solid and friendly place to stay while exploring the area.」

「Daniel and staff were the most hospitable! The place in a hidden gem. We travelled as a family of 10. Felt very safe. Great communication from the beginning. They all went above and beyond to ensure we had everything in order. The location was key. Easy access to hot springs and local restaurants. Oh and can’t forget the view of Arnel volcano - WOW! If you can book mountain view- do it! Breakfast was their typical meal and was delicious. We would definitely be back again!」
