“The room was great, loved the shower, and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. The staff was really friendly and there were more hot tubs than pictured on the site I booked through. Breakfast was excellent too, not your typical hotel buffet. Highly recommend. ”

“The room was spotless. We came during Christmas just to lay in the hot springs. The whole property was lit up and very festive. The welcoming treat and personal touches in our room were the icing on the cake. The breakfast was full of choices. The resort is located close to La Fortuna town and many great excursions. We will definitely return here again. ”

My room was clean and bed comfortable. A cute kitty freely wandered the property, often napping outside my door. ”

“I appreciate the staff holding our reservations as we experienced flight delays due to inclement weather. Security checked us in after hours very quickly and had keys ready to escort us to our rooms. Very clean, really good door seals to keep humidity out and efficient AC. THANK YOU!”

“The apartment we stayed in was very clean and the staff were helpful and courteous. The pool was lovely. The locatiin was great, very central and clise to restaurants, grocery store and shops. A quick uber ride to the hot springs. I woukd highly recommend Villas Fortuna Boutique Hotel.”

“The room was basic but the surroundings were surreal. The staff was wonderful and welcoming. The bed was comfortable. One recommendation: more/better face cloths! Besides that, the property is a gem. Loved our time on the hammocks by the pool area. The outdoor breakfast area was lovely as well.”

“Not the fanciest hotel, room was practical (not luxury), but food in restaurant was excellent, bar drinks reasonably priced, rooms were very clean, and there were 5 pools, all of different temperatures. Price was good!”

“Our stay at Calalun was perfect. Calalun was in the perfect location, was private surrounded by gorgeous landscape and a beautiful view of the volcano. The owners were very accommodating and made sure our stay was comfortable and perfect. The bed was comfortable and the quaint apartment was clean and modern. We had everything we needed and would recommend. The only suggestion would be to light up the Calalun sign a bit more or make it stand out from the road. The kitchen had all the necessities……
