"If you have kids and aren’t looking for the large crowds of a touristy resort, this is a hidden gem. A working farm with horses, donkeys, chickens, hens, and a huge pig named Bella. Endless entertainment! Our kids milked a cow, collected eggs in a hen house, and rode a horse. In addition, a small playground and trampoline setup and beautiful hot springs where we were the only ones there each day. Incredible! Only negative is the beds aren’t the most comfortable and coffee could be better. Food is very good and they actually utilize their farm for the restaurant. All of the staff were fantastic. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and are bringing home many wonderful memories thanks to our stay at El Silencio."

"They practice the old bait and switch. We reserved two rooms and they reached out to see what activities I wanted to sign up for. I responded that I already had plans. When check in came around, they told me that they didn't have a reservation for me. Once I proved that I did, and that I had PREPAID, then they found me lodging at a sister hotel. I paid for a hotel with a hot spring + view of Mt Arenal. I got a hotel that had neither. Instead, it had a room with bad wiring to the hot water heater and that smoked when you used the shower. And a broken hot tub. The hotel front desk said that this is Expedia's fault because their system didn't confirm my reservation. In reality, they saw an opportunity to fill their rooms with guests that would pay more, so they went with that. "

"The Royal Corin clearly used to be a very impressive resort unfortunately it is showing its age and needs facilities and gym upgrades. The staff are all amazing and made up for the facility issues. The location is very well located for activities in the Arenal area. Food is very healthy and fresh. "

"One of the best resorts we have lived in. The pool and hot springs were amazing. Our boys loved the pool and the view of Arenal Volcano from the pool was amazing. The staff was very courteous and great service. The property is beautiful and rooms are very nicely done. The view of mountain from the room early morning was very relaxing and fun. The location of this resort is also in also perfect for all activities around La Fortuna. "

"Great hotel, comfortable rooms, fabulous pool complex, easy parking, on site food options. Multiple pools including varying degrees of hot springs, and natural pools, swim up bar, etc. Ideal location for activities including coffee/chocolate tours, hanging bridges, La Fortuna waterfall, tubing, etc. La Fortuna is 10 minutes away in an Uber which is cheap and efficient and has lots of bars and restaurants. Loved this hotel and the area"

"The villa has some positives, including parking right in front of the room and a pleasant breakfast setting. However, several issues significantly affected our stay. The room had insects, the bathroom was not well maintained and did not feel clean, and the bedding was uncomfortable. There was also no water one evening, which was very inconvenient. Service was slow, and there was a billing error at checkout. "
