“Room walls and doors had stains on them, drawings, cigarette burns on the bedding, bugs, not sure if they were roaches or some other bugs that look like them, it was honestly a very poor value and very low budget room.”

“I was headed to Grand Isle for a birding trip and stayed overnight in Golden Meadow as the hotels on the Island were expensive and most wouldn't book a one night stay. Southern Breeze Lodge was perfect in every way, from the friendly ladies in the office to the clean room, comfortable beds, and convenience of having a gas station, GoBears Grocery and Noble Roman's Pizza all within walking distance of the lodge! I recommended it to all my fellow birders and will definitely stay there again.”

So after 10 minutes she hands me a key, walk to the room, open the door to beer cans and a clearly slept in bed. I bolted out, scared. Ran to the desk to request another room, she gave us the new room key, got to the room and it smelt of weed, smoke, and other indescribable scents. Again, ran to the front to request a refund. “Sea breeze was wonderful!! Beach view was minimal, high levee with tall grass blocked the view. The parking was perfect, right next to the apartment!”

“First there was no hot water like warm showers at best. Room wasn’t cleaned properly, still garbage, crumbs on carpet. Had to ask several times over two days to get a fourth bath towel. Maid service only comes every two days. Hotel in a good under from the French quarter. Your better finding a hotel closer and paying the parking fees.”

“First of all, in the biggest picture, the room was more than comfortable it was clean and quiet, and the staff was superb. Breakfast was included and it was fine, Protein choices were good and it was well stocked. One complaint. I specifically searched for a hotel with kitchenette and a pool.
