“Lovely, clean and warm. Ideal location for the train and a walk to the beach. We enjoyed our time here and would definitely book again. ”

“We have stayed here before and it is a good practical option for us when we visit family. It is clean modern and nice and warm. We have stayed twice before in different rooms, both of which were bigger than the one we had this time. It would really have been more suitable for a single guest. That being said, we did manage ok for 2 nights. We did notice the noise from other guests a bit more this time than we did before. The location is ideal as there are shops, bars and decent restaurants……

“The room was very poorly lit, no lights apart from small wall lights which being sight impaired I struggled with. Tap was loose and wobbly in bathroom sink.”

“Carpet has never been cleaned. Shower drainage blocked. The door key snapped when I tried to unlock. They wanted me to pay £90 for the key. The room smelled bad. It’s a guest house for people with no standards ”

“During the recent heat wave, my room was extremely warm and the fan they provided did not work to cool the room. They need to have fans that work because the upper rooms in the hotel were too hot. I checked out early.”

“The Mews buildings are nice inside, the bathroom maybe slightly letting it down. The food was excellent and the draught beer fresh and good quality. We found the staff helpful and polite. The only criticism we would have is that there is building work going on beside the Mews buildings, I think they are adding more buildings. We ended up in the building with a crane right outside our door. When we arrived we wanted to rest in the room for a little while but it was very noisy. The building……

“I moved to this hotel because they told me they had a working fan and a view of the sea with adequate sea breeze to cool off the room. The room was extremely warm and the fan did not work very well and I had to stay there for two nights with an extremely warm room also the the hotel is a bit rundown and the carpet in the room had stains.”

“The staff was very helpful and answered all of our questions. They went out of the way to make sure we had everything we needed.”

“Have been before to this boutique hotel and the standard has never failed. Guy on reception was friendly and pleasant. Advised that food wasn’t available atm in the hotel but that he would telephone two down at the Seamill Hydro Hotel for dinner and gave us a voucher for breakfast at same hotel. Dinner booking was abit late for us so declined and went elsewhere. The breakfast was lovely at the Hydro. Hotel was nice and warm, room and bathroom spotless. Would return and recommend to others”

“The room was fairly small. The bed was very UNCOMFORTABLE. We couldn’t change rooms as they were sold out. However, it probably wouldn’t have made a difference. There’s no refrigerator or microwave in the room. There’s no ice machine. We went to the bar to get ice, and were given a small bucket with about 4cups of ice. The restaurant is on the expensive side, and not great options. Overall 2/5 experience.”
