“The concierge, Zack, tops off the stay, and makes guests feel special. It is so important to get good advice for a city and you will be very impressed with the service you receive from Zack, just like you would receive at a fine five star hotel. The property is lovely, the pool can use a little updating, however, our stay was early in the season, so I’m sure improvements were coming. ”

“Of course the building is old but in pretty good shape!! You can just feel the history and image what it was like many many years ago! Great food and the Bartenders were the best!!! My wife and I will be back!!!”

“Spaciousness and view the best things. Amenities were VERY limited, and when some yahoo rode by oou patio on some kind of ATV for an unexplainable reason at 8AM the morning after we arrived- that woke us up. 'Popcorn and a movie' the following night was equally disappointing. Yes, the movie played, but no popcorn offered, and the latte machine near that area didn't work. Staff was friendly and as accomodating as they could be, but this place is still a work in progress.”

“This is a very quaint and comfortable little motel. If you like nostalgia, this is the place for you. It is a throwback to the old style motels. The room was clean and the property was well maintained and quiet. Easy to walk to the shops, park and restaurants in downtown Blowing Rock. The only complaint, if you can call it a complaint, is the pillows are flat. We would definitely return for another stay!”

“Beautiful site. A great get away. Lots to do in the area. One could easily spend a week or more doing various activities as well as visiting the local businesses and being surrounded by all the natural beauty. There is a winery and a bakery nearby. The cabins are unique well built and very comfortable. You can really enjoy the natural setting right by the river. The host is great! He is very accommodating and accessible and knows you didn’t come there to see him. We will be back again but for a……
