We had been to Disneyland years before this trip and it seems like the area improved. The convention center isn't too far from there so we have been to that since our last trip to the Anaheim Comic Con some years back and it was nice and safe also.

I didn't travel throughout Anaheim just this Disneyland area of tourism. Your family will be exhausted each night from all the activities in the area. High energy location and down the block from Anaheim Garden Walk (more eateries/drinkeries).

Very nice area, Downtown Disney and Disneyland are easy to get to and both have awesome shopping and many food options but be prepared to spend a lot of money. Everything was so pricey but it is a great time.

As much as Anaheim wants to be more than Disney, it is not. Anaheim as a population center exists because of Disney, and there really isn't a reason the be in Anaheim if not for Disney

When you are in Anaheim, you feel safe. The city is clean and has so many dining options. Make sure you check out the Anaheim Packing House. Best place for dinner!

Lived here my whole life. People are basically friendly. It is becoming extremely overcrowded. Its becoming more of a big city. It is somewhat dirty/dingy because of aging infrastructure. It is not safe to walk around after dark (10pm or so)

Anaheim has seen better days, but that's to be said of all cities. Don't wander around at night and be aware of your surroundings and you're fine. There's been a lot of renovations and the amenities in the area are nice.

"The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were smallish but well maintained and thoughtfully furnished for what guests might need. And the location was fabulous - across the street from Disneyland entrance. Highly recommend."
"The Legacy is a nice alternative to staying at the Disneyland Hotel. Very close to the theme part. The rooms themselves are as good but at half the price. We did have people come in at 1 am in the room above ours who were fairly noisy for 15 minutes. Otherwise a very good stay."
