“The Angra Marina Hotel has an amazing view of the harbour, and easy access off of one of the main roads and is a short walk down to the harbour and nearby shops and restaurants. Although be aware that the only entrance to the hotel is at the top of a steep hill and there is no access to/from town from the lower levels. However, the hotel itself is dated and poorly maintained - the elevators say they're going down but go up, the roof paint was peeling in the pool area, the bathrooms in the room……

“It was OK hotel but nothing more. I will not return for several reasons described below. Our background: retired, in our 60-s, traveling a lot around the world. Positive first: good location, beautiful building from outside, good water pressure, adequate AC, parking, free drinking water, pleasant staff. What we did not like( our personal opinion, not criticism): There is no elevator. We were on the last floor so walking up and down could be challenging especially with the suitcases. You will not……

“A clean modern apartment. Bed was comfortable with nice sheets and pillows. Kitchen had basic cooking utensils but unfortunately not have basic items for cooking like salt, pepper, sugar, oil. Nice welcome basket of goodies was much appreciated.”
