“Shady Pines was so lovely, we booked another trip after we'd been there only a day into our 4-night stay! The house is super cute (just as pictured), with a really well-stocked kitchen, a spectacular view, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. It's easy to travel to--our group came from Ohio, Virginia, and Arkansas. And it's not as far "out of town" as it might look on a map, so there's plenty of stores and restaurants nearby if desired. We mostly preferred to stay in, as this was a writing getaway……

“Our family booked for a family reunion based out of Twin Cove Marina and had a great stay. The house was extremely clean and comfortable. The downstairs bunkhouse room with 3 beds and a couch and retro video games were a big hit with our boys. Best of all it was a short boat ride to the marina! The only thing to mention is there is a large parking pad but no driveway, so drop your boat and trailer off at the marina first is my advice. We hope to stay again!”

“The home is beautiful, and the views are spectacular. This is truly one of the best parts of Norris Lake. The home was comfortable and large enough that we all had our privacy when needed yet we could all gather together for meals, games, and relaxing. The dock is very large and gave us both sun and shade options. The lake and mountains are the very best part! We all jumped in our boat to enjoy the day skiing, tubing, and swimming in turtle cove! We will definitely be back!The owner was……

“Our three generation family enjoyed this our week at this unique vacation house. One family of five stayed at the in-law suite, giving the our youngest grandkids a quiet place for naps / early bedtimes. The rest of us shared the 5 bedrooms of the larger home, with everyone coming together for meals. We spent lots of time at the lake because getting to the deck was convenient and easy, even for our 3 year old granddaughter. Unlike many other similar homes, this property’s approximately 20 steps……
