The view was as advertised - we were lucky in the off season to have very nice weather so every night we feel asleep with moonlight hitting the sea right outside our balcony. Two bits of advice is you book here - first, if you're walking from the train station, take the staircase on the right just before you would walk through the tunnel between new town and old. 「As part of our anniversary trip, we chose to stay at Monterosso al Mare. The apartment was immaculate and perfectly suited to our needs. It was close to the beach and train station, and a good jumping off point to visit the other Cinque Terre towns. Monterosso also offered numerous excellent food options. Host Amedeo and his assistant Oliver were very responsive and great to deal with. We look forward to coming back again in the future.」
