“I’ve stayed at a RIU in Montego Bay before, so I knew paying more usually means a nicer, more “luxury” experience. That wasn’t really the case here. Palace Tropical Bay didn’t feel like an upgrade, and honestly we could’ve just stayed at Riu Negril and been just as happy, if not happier. When we went there for the White Party, it looked just as nice.
The swim-up bar pool was also an issue—the filter seemed off because there was always debris floating around, which wasn’t great.
