「Catherine is a wonderful hostess, the place is clean and comfortable and beautifully presented. The farm is in the middle of nowhere but within short distances to villages with pubs or the park and ride to take you to York. The room had everything we needed and it was spacious, the bed was comfortable, tea and coffee provided with fresh milk available in the kitchenette. 「Good location and close to old town, parking available with limited space. Good breakfast and the attitude of hosts are cool. Hosts didn't allow to extend the parking to 2-3 hours after check out at 1000. Their check in time is after 1500 and the hosts reject the request looks cold attitude. It's the first time we didn't allow the parking extension we stayed in UK for past 5 stops.」

「The room was very nice. A couple of small things: 1- It would have been nice to know there was a flight of narrow stairs to get to room, 2- Bathroom sink is blocked by overhanging cabinets, toothbrushing very difficult, 3- bathroom door drifts open against the bed unless closed and then the bathroom is very hot. 」

「I really enjoyed my stay at Ashbourne House! The room was very comfortable and bright, with all the amenities I needed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is great too -- a lovely walk along the river away from the bustling city centre. 」
