“This was a beautiful hotel with lots of charm, sweet animals, and a quiet and peaceful vibe. The room was spacious and clean; very good value for the price. Food was not available on demand so bring snacks, and be prepared to wait for assigned meals and dinner times. The full menu was not available. “We stayed here with two families with 4 kids under 10 for two nights.They had so much for them to do. A pool, bounce houses, a trampoline, electric cars, a campfire, and they even got to play with the resident bunny, ducks, and chickens. The staff was also extremely kind and helpful making the kids food to order throughout the day and always finding things to entertain them. We didn't have our own car, but they happily drove us to local cenotes and even helped pick up a friend who needed a ride……

“The road to the resort was not paved at all (dirt road with tons of potholes, an SUV or bigger vehicle is a must), it was remote, no cell reception (download an offline map), surrounded by jungle. We had fun driving through. The property was nice, peaceful and surrounded by nature. There is no cell reception but there is a wifi. The room that we stayed in was the comfort room. It was clean and comfortable. There was a musty smell at first but we aired the room out and it was fine after. I……

“Great staff. The room was great. Ask to get a beachfront room on the 3rd floor. The trees on the property cut down on the ocean view for the 1st and 2nd floors. The hot tubs were not on. There is an area for a bar, but it is not staffed or stocked. Know before you go that this is in a residential area and there are no restaurants or markets within walking distance. Each cab ride to town was $50US. If you are looking for a remote getaway, this is a great option.”

“I have been to many different resorts in Mexico. I would say this resort is by far the best. They had the best drinks(not watered down), excellent food, clean room. They really cater to their guests. I would visit them again.”

“We had a wonderful short stay at the Belmond Maroma to celebrate our engagement. The staff and their service were top notch. In particular, Emanuel took great care of us. The spa was wonderful for both treatments and some time in the hot/cold plunges, steam and sauna. The restaurants were picturesque right on the beach - we particularly liked breakfast with the fresh juices of the day and daily changed pastries.
