A great place in the Southern Alps

Like others who have reviewed Old Age, we found the food to be outstanding. We stayed three nights. Breakfast was always the same, with a nice salad, soup, and very good sausage. The bread was excellent, too. Dinner was the same both nights, but again very good, the fish dish being especially delicious. Also, as others have noted, the room was very small and lacked space for our suitcases. The bathroom was quite possibly the smallest we have ever experienced in Japan - and we lived in Japan before and have been making three week trips annually for the past 20 years. Nevertheless we loved Old Age and are recommending it to our friends.

客室も共用スペースもアンティーク家具がたくさん使われていて素敵な施設でした。古い感じはしますが清潔で、部屋数が多くないので静かな空間で過ごせました。晴れていればお庭でも過ごしてみたかったです。スタッフの方も感じが良く、また利用したいと思える場所でした。 一点だけ…事前にお肉が食べられないことをお伝えしており魚介類に変更していただけるとのことだったのですが、対応いただけたのは夕食のメイン料理のみで、前菜や朝食メニューについてはご対応いただけませんでした。（食べられないものは連れに任せました）お料理とても美味しかったので、その点だけ残念でした。

アンティークな雰囲気の建物と内装、調度。手入れの行き届いたお庭を眺めながらいただく 高原野菜たっぷりの美味しいお料理。 空いているから…との事で少しお金をプラスして広くてバルコニーのあるお部屋に変えていただき、日常を忘れお姫様気分？で過ごす事ができました。 オーナー夫人が大変気さくでお話ししやすく、お庭で沢山写真撮っていただき、来年は薔薇が満開の時期にぜひ来たいと思います。

アメニティもいわゆる普通で、バスローブもあり下着と翌日の着替えさえ持っていけば泊まれる環境でした。 朝食は野菜嫌いの僕でも美味しいと唸ってしまうクオリティで、ホスピタリティから全てが最高のシチュエーションでした。 部屋のアンティークな感じの 悪く言えばボロさ加減というのも気にならず むしろ味になってて加えて最高でした。 徒歩10分圏内に萌木の村という、商店街ではないのですが観光街というか、まぁなんていうか地続きのショッピングモール的な範囲があり、そこがまた最高でした。 駅前にはファミマが ホテルから徒歩10分圏内萌木の村の近くにはセブンがありました。 ご当地ビールがセブンで売ってて ホテルで飲んでました。 最高でしたね。

清里バレエ鑑賞のために宿泊しました。会場である萌木の村はすぐ横にあるので立地的に大変便利でした。 朝夕食付でしたが、いずれも手が込んでいてとってもおいしかったです。またバレエ鑑賞の機会があったら是非宿泊したいです。

何度も訪れたくなるホテル

暖炉のある趣味の良いロビーが素晴らしいホテルでした。コロナの影響で宿泊者が我々夫婦のみであった為、他のゲストに気兼ねなく最高の環境を堪能させて頂きました。夕食や朝食も、味と見た目両方で満足です。スタッフもフレンドリーで、ずっと滞在したくなりました。建物が少し古く、建て付けの悪い所が有りましたが、それさえも個性と受け止める事が出来る、そんなホテルでした。

オールドエイジなかなかです

清里、萌木の村には年に数回訪れます。2020年8月９日にオールドエイジさんは初めて泊まりました。看板を曲がるとイングリッシュガーデンの中にホテルはあります。1階にはレストラン、フロント、ラウンジがありとても落ち着いた良い雰囲気でした。オーナーはなかなか楽しく、親切なお人柄、星のお話などしてくれました。ファミリールームに泊りました。部屋は広く、ステンドグラスの窓で開けると緑色のガーデンが一望できました。夜はベランダから星座が見えました。夕食はフルコースで、味、香り、盛り付けなど大変満足できるものでした。ぜひまた行きたいです。

良く手入れされたお庭、こじんまりとした建物、アンティーク調の内装など、英国風の雰囲気漂い、非日常感が素敵なホテルです。 フロントでコーヒーを淹れて本棚の本を眺めたり、お庭のブランコに揺られたり、とてもリラックスできました。 お料理も美味しく、特に新鮮なお野菜とパリパリに焼かれたお魚のソテー、ホテルのラベルが貼られたハウスワインが印象に残りました。 今回は一泊でしたが、もう少しゆっくり滞在を楽しみたいと思えるホテルでした。清里に行く時はまたお世話になります。

素敵な英風ホテル

素敵な雰囲気のホテルでした。誰でも見学できるイングリッシュガーデンがあり、雰囲気はアットホームなイギリスの小さなお家といった感じ。（宿泊するお部屋自体はそこまで英風ではありませんでしたが。） 小さいですがお部屋にお風呂もついていて安心でした。車で5~10分のところには、ホテルの割引が利く温泉施設もあったので、とてものんびりすることができました。 朝ごはんもとてもおいしい！　焼き立てのパン、サラダ、クラムチャウダー、立派なソーセージ、温泉卵、ヨーグルト…朝からおなか一杯になってしまいました。 萌木の村のすぐ近くで、駅までも徒歩圏内、立地としては車で来られていない方にも比較的便利な場所ではないでしょうか。歩いてすぐの場所にコンビニなどはありませんが、ミネラルウォーターのボトルを頂けるので、それもありがたかったです。
