Lovely little flat in quiet residential neighborhood
Location: The neighborhood is shockingly quiet at all hours of day and night (we slept with open windows with no disturbances). It was a fifteen minute walk to the Tube, with other necessities en route (pubs, cafes, small food stores, etc.). Good access via Tube to tourist destinations.
Property: The flat is in an unimpressive-looking building complex, but the inside has been completely renovated and updated. Entry to this flat is directly from outside ground level; there is no inner hallway connecting flats. Two of the bedrooms are too small for two adults as advertised.
The property description is mostly accurate, except there is no air conditioning. We visited in July, and we found that opening windows was largely sufficient to cool the unit. HOWEVER, not all windows opened! The owner's response to our request for maintenance was, "That is why fans are provided in each bedroom." One bedroom with a non-functioning window was uninhabitable due to the heat, so one of our family slept in the living room.
Management: The property was very clean upon arrival. The management company was easily contacted by phone. The key pickup process (go to a nearby store and give them a code to get the key) was delayed because of a problem with the code, but management answered the phone and solved the problem quickly. They only provide one key, which is somewhat inconvenient for a big group.
Overall, we highly recommend this property, particularly if the windows get repaired.
