Rustic and traditional, you’d be forgiven for thinking this was a country cottage, not a townhouse in the heart of the city. From the gingham headboard in the master bedroom to the rococo chairs surrounding the old oak table in the kitchen, Kynance Place exudes country calm. Gilt-framed portraits and baroque landscapes adorn the walls of the classical sitting room. There are two bedrooms, each with a double bed and a pared-back palette. Polished mahogany, striking oil paintings and stately porcelain pieces ornament the interior furnishings, cool-toned walls and canvas curtains. Indeed, in this idyllic retreat you may have to remind yourself of your urban location – perhaps at an exhibition in one of South Kensington’s renowned museums, or over coffee and cake at a Gloucester Road café. When you return home, the sitting room’s sofa and pretty pink armchairs will seem all the more inviting.

- The roof terrace of this home is only accessible via a ladder and isn't suitable for all guests. Images of this ladder can be seen in the master bedroom photos. This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period. This home is spread over four floors with no internal elevator. The beds in both bedrooms can be split into two singles. Please let our reservation team know how you would like these set up when you book. There is no washing machine in this home. This home is in an older building and has unique quirks. The floors show some signs of wear. There is no hanging space in the guest bedroom, however, there is ample flat space in the chest of drawers. This home may accept pets on request. The homeowner's pet dog occasionally stays at this home. They won't be here during your stay but this home may not be suitable for those with allergies. Please note this home is not exclusive to onefinestay. The roof terrace is currently not in use.
