Such a great stay! Friendly staff, easy check in, great area, comfy beds for bunk beds. The fan in the room really helped with any city noise, and we didn’t even hear the church bells once we were asleep even with the window open!

It's a good choice for a weekend, In and out of London. It has the basics a bed and a roof over your head. they do offer private rooms which is the one I got and it was perfect for me. They offer food on site,(didn't get the chance to try it, but it smell delicious) all the transport options are within walking distance.

Basic

The room carpet really needs re fitted, dirty around the edge and lifting. The building stairs look like they also need replaced as there are metal supports in place. Very very basic however it was clean and staff are friendly and informative. Great location

Very close to the cathedral, the bell ring every 15 min to 1 hour, even in mid night (12 pm). If you are light sleeper, think carefully. The staff is friendly and helpful, neibours are polite and noise from neighbors are less than I imagined Convenient for transportation

Excellent hostile but I was surprised to find that there was no fridge or microwave for the guests. Bonus having a sink in the room. Loved the breakfast buffet option tho. Convenient location, close to many restaurants, tourist sights, and shops. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Allowed us to check in early since room was ready. Was a bit pricier than most hostiles but would definitely go back. Only thing we did not like was that no one kept the noisy guests in line. Our room was between rooms with young, foreign girls who seemed to be drunk and were extremely loud (laughing/screaming, slamming doors, running in halls) very late at night. Had absolutely no regard for other guests. They truly acted like children

Decent for youth hostel, needs better upkeep

Not bad for a youth hostel. I booked a two-bed private room for my friend and myself to split. It was comfortable enough, and it was nice having a wash sink in the room so that we didn't need to go to the shared toilets every time we needed a sink. The beds had built-in power outlets, however they didn't really work well. We ended up using the wall outlets to charge our electronics. We were also right next to the showers but one of them was out of order. The toilets were at the end of the hall but one of them was out of order as well, so I ended up needing to wait for one to become available a couple times. It wasn't too noisy considering we were facing a busy street and some people complain about the bells coming from St. Paul's being distracting as they ring essentially every 15 minutes, but I got used to it pretty quickly and was able to sleep just fine. Wifi is only available in the shared spaces and not the rooms, so that might be difficult for people who rely on wifi connection. We didn't take advantage of their breakfast offerings, though they seem to have a nice variety of hot and cold food to choose from. They even seemed to have a couple vegan items that I could have eaten, but I wasn't going to pay nearly £10 just to only eat like two items. Check in and check out were easy.

No WiFi in rooms Room smells mouldy, unable to open the door to the balcony, can hear noises next door easily Showers not adjustable heights and low pressure No lift in the building and no staff assistance for carrying luggage up and down 3 floors of stairs No tea making facility or fridges to store foods in. Have been to other yha hostels and this one unfortunately is subpar.

I’ve stayed in many YHA’s over the years and this wasn’t one of the best. There is external work going on and I wonder if they will be updating the interiors as it’s looking somewhat shabby. The shower closest to our room didn’t work properly. I checked in very late at night and just wanted to get to bed and for sone reason the check in process took much longer than necessary

Flott og hyggelig service

Var bra nok i forholdet til priser og nok plass til klær i skapet og kofferten under senga og eien vask på rommet, dusj og toalett var utenfor rommet. Hadde gjerne kunne satt opp micro om varme litt mat ellers vannkoker/ minikjøkken om kunne lage litt mat. Service var veldig hyggelig og behjelpelig. Kort vei til buss/tog og ikke mye lyden fra veien som er i nærheten , bare noe lyd fra klokka fra katedral men ikke plagsomt.

Det var et rigtig godt ophold. Vi kunne opmagasinere vores bagage og slentre i byen indtil værelset var klar. Venligt og hjælpsomt personale. Rengøringen var fin. Beliggenhed var super. Eneste minus var at man kunne høre kirkeklokkerne fra Sct Paul døgnet rundt.

Bra läge och trevlig personal!

Hotellet hade bra läge för att kunna ta sig med tunnelbanan till dem sevärdheterna som vi hade inplanerat för våran resa. Om man flög t/r ifrån Standsted flygplats så kunde man på enkelt vis hoppa av på Liverpool station och ta sig vidare till St Paul's hållplats och sedan vidare därifrån bort till hotellet till fots. Rummet i sig så får man det man betalade för. Dvs någonstans att sova men passade oss ändå bra då vi inte hade planer på att sitta på rummet hela dagarna. Då St Paul's katedralen ligger nära så är öronproppar ett måste för den som är känslig för ljud då klockorna klämtar. Hotellet erbjuder gratis öronproppar men om man behöver en mer passande storlek för sina öron så ta med egna. Ett annat tips är att ha med sig ett hänglås som man vill förvara sina tillhörigheter inlåsta i dem förvaringsutrymme som finns på rummen. Frukosten som erbjöds var som en typisk Engelsk frukost med bönor, bacon,hashbrown, bacon, korv, ägg, croissanter och vegetariska korvar. Det blev väl lite små tråkig för tex mig som behöver glutenfritt och laktosfritt (fick höra när jag frågade om dessa alternativ att det skulle finnas till frukost i receptionen när vi checkade in.) så kunde dessvärre endast äta mig lite smått mätt på glutenfritt bröd. Dock så erbjöd receptionen sig att lösa problematiken tills dagen därpå men jag valde att ordna med min frukost på annat vis under den resterande delen utav resan för att göra det enkelt. Super trevlig personal och kan tänka mig att bo här igen! 😄

Room is not clean. It was half basement. Couldnt open the window to refresh the air. Flushing the toilet got problem. It doesnt flush all the way. No hair dryer. No wifi in the room. Staying in this hostel was terrible. Staff was really nice tho
