「Jackie is a fabulous hostess, she made sure our stay was unforgettable in a good way. Room was warm, clean and tidy, beds were very comfortable.. great to have the only twin room. Great shower, warm towels on heated rail. Breakfast was perfect. The Cedars Guest House is situated in a great central place, we parked our car and didn’t need to drive until leaving for home. We will definitely book again the next time we’re visiting Dunoon. Thank You 」

「Lovely staff, but the hotel could be so much better by upgrading the rooms and increasing availability of food on offer. The gardens could also be beautiful if maintained properly. Regular bus service to and from Helensburgh which has lots of restaurants to choose from, but would be nice to be able to eat in the hotel if have been out all day.」

「I had a lovely stay although not a front facing room unfortunately but a peaceful wooded view. Enthusiastic staff eager to renovate and get the hotel back up to scratch but a quirky and charming place, full of authenticity and character. Definitely not a 5* luxury hotel but could not fault the facilities, comfort, and great value for money. Ample parking, green spaces with lovely view, beautiful bed linen & supersoft towels and great shower!」

「Family rooms could do with a bit of refurb and bathrooms defo need updating. Shower head black mould and water sprayed everywhere, so did not use shower and had to have a quick bath. Staff were really nice」

「This hotel is really run down. Needs a coat of paint & major overhaul. Nothing looked like the pictures. The location is great & the front desk staff are wonderful. So, at least it has that going for it. Breakfast quality was disappointing. Some random buzzer was being tested the 1st morning & woke our young grandkids up. No warning on the buzzer at all. 」

「I just wanted a simple hotel to come back to after driving all day. No remote for tv, forgot to ask in the morning before leaving for my day trip. Got in late, managed to get Tv on and on a channel, but next night there was a Samsung update message that required the remote. then went for a shower…nearly got severe burns from the tankless water heater as it doesn’t seem to work properly (hot is cold, and apparently cold is hot and extremely dangerously hot. Nowhere to escape to as the shower is...
