“Great property, great service. Food was under-seasoned but otherwise very good. Room (junior suite) was fantastic with private thermal pool. The only big negative was a horrible mattress. It was like sleeping on cement floor. I have been in severe pain the whole vacation as a result. Front desk and housekeeping did not provide a solution saying the mattresses are brand new. No softer mattress or topper available. No attempt to fix the issue. ”

“Beautiful accommodations at the Arenal Volcano just outside downtown La Fortuna. The location is perfect. The grounds are incredible. The rooms are very charming. The included breakfast was also a nice touch (limited menu but everything is cooked to order plus fruit, juices, coffee, etc). The staff are astounding and super helpful. There was some mildew in the bathroom and the water pressure is very high, but otherwise the bathroom was very well kept.”

“Very nice staff. Small grounds with great views of Volcano. Boutique size place, maybe only 10 rooms and nice but small pool deck and 4 hot springs. “This place is pretty special. It is a small, low key resort. My son wanted to stay close to the pool, so we stayed in a standard room. The room wasn't great. The beds were hard, it could use a refresh, the air conditioner was loud, and there was no soundproofing. If we had picked one of the bungalows or treehouses, I likely would have given the place 5 stars. It is a nice alternative away from the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna but still close to lots of attractions. ”
