"Amazing"

"Buffet food was the best. All areas in the hotel and outside was very clean. All of the team members were friendly and helpful. Shows were wonderful. We had a wonderful stay. Unfortunately, the ocean had lots of sea weed. If you are a serious swimmer that might not be so good for you, otherwise it's wonderful. The beach gets cleaned every morning, but the sea weed returns by the evening. There are different activities throughout the day. Every evening there are different shows. Lots of entertainment. Playa Del Carmen is in the walking distance. Very pleasant walk, just make sure you grab water, sunglasses and hat. Lots of shops and things to look at."

"Overall the stay was good. The property is a little dated but ok for us. The entertainment setup was good nightly with multiple shows. The staff was friendly and helpful. One oddity is If you need more water, beer, pop in the room before the next day, they charge you. Luckily the bellhop told us when he walked us to the room so we didn’t get surprised. The room service wasn’t convenient and the menu was not great."

"This was my 4th visit to Sofia & as usual, the staff was absolutely wonderful. The room/unit was bright & clean & equipped enough supplies to enjoy a nice cup of tea/coffee on the balcony each morning. Unfortunately, the elevator malfunctioned at the midway point of my stay & remained out of order until check out.. Walking up "

"It was a good resort, not great per say. Food was average, Mexican restaurant was great. Most staff were friendly but a few were not the best. The privilege perks were definitely a must, swim up pool to the room was the highlight of our trip. Definitely a big resort and lots to do. At first they try to upsell you and push a timeshare, annoying but once you get past that you're good."
