“Esta lindo y limpio ”

“This is the worst 5-star all-inclusive experience our family had during christmas. We did not have hot shower for three nights and the room has been freezing cold. We informed the hotel the first night and they kept sending maintenance people without fixing it. And whats worse, they did not really care about our problems. Everytime I called them, I need to explain the situation again. And what I got is 'we will send someone to fix' ' the hotel is fully booked so not possible to change the room'……

“We were scheduled to check in at 3 PM, but the staff were so slow that we had to wait 30 minutes at the reception. Conversely, although check-out was at 12 PM, they rushed us into our room at 11 AM. The food was delicious and the pool was nice. However, the water in the overwater villas was dirty and covered in a lot of algae, so you can't swim directly into the sea from your room.”

“The property is huge, and a nice looking resort with modern rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, I would not classify this is a 5 star place. The food is one of the reasons I booked this resort, and I would say it was more like 2.5 star due to the quality of the food. I tried a couple of the restaurants, La Hacienda and Duo Wok, and they were mediocre at best. Along with the buffet, food in general was overcooked and lacked flavour. At the buffet, the cook was using……

“I’ve been to Akumal & Playa Blanca secrets.. this ranks last in our list. The property seemed worn down, food quality was not a good as the other secrets, and overall the service was very slow at any restaurant we dined in. Probably will not return to this property. When you’ve been to other high quality resorts.. you kinda expect almost the same experience.”

“Did not meet expectations. When I got there requested a bigger room. The penthouse suite is what I got and they said that was the best room. Family that we traveled with got a family suite which would have been more suitable for my family’s needs. Did not like our room. Check in staff was not helpful and confusing. Food was ok. Staff seemed unapproachable and was not helpful when needed. Did not enjoy my stay here. Definitely will not be returning.”

“The grounds and the pools are beautiful. Enrique, especially, Luis and the other bartenders at the pool/beach bar are wonderful, as are Adriana, Claudia and Esteban at the Lobby Bar. We really enjoyed the daily evening cocktail with Esteban. The rooms are kept clean daily. There are plenty of food options, and while the specialty restaurant menus are not quite as good as they have been in the past, the food is still very good.
