Amazing House and Location - Best Vacation to Mexico Yet!

We have stayed at VRBO properties in Mexico, the U.S. and Europe and I can honestly say this was the best one ever. The house is big, modern and impeccably clean. Our Concierge did a great job answering questions ahead of time. The property is beautiful and it is on a quiet residential street. We were about a 2-3 minute walk into town, to the marina, to the beach, to tennis, and the golf course is out the backyard gate. I jogged each morning in the neighborhood and in Central Park and I felt totally safe and enjoyed the sites and the sounds of the birds and other wildlife. The locals are so friendly, everyone greets you! We had delicious meals in the town of Puerto Aventuras and appreciated not having to drive to get to restaurants or to the beach. There was a note in the house about a shortcut into town which was a helpful tip. We walked to the Puerto Aventuras Beach Club one day (it was a 3-minute walk from the house) and that was great. The food, drinks, palapas and sunchairs at the beach were perfect. We appreciated all the amenities at this house, including the kitchen which was fully stocked and the 2 Smart TVs and the wifi. We hope to be back at this house again soon and next time we'll bring friends since there are plenty of bedrooms.

5* house but…..

Accurate pictures and description of property. Excellent and timely response to inquiries by property manager. Lorena our assigned concierge very helpful and provided excellent recommendations. However there a few items that were less than satisfactory. - as per the VRBO listing there was no indication that we would pay a surcharge for electricity used by the kilowatt. After several emails with the manager, he finally agreed that there was no mention on electricity surcharges - although it was listed on other rental platforms. In the end - we were compelled to pay. We would never have rented this property knowing that there would be a surcharge. - we requested an earlier checkin by 1-2 hours as the availability calendar indicated that the house was unoccupied. The reply was - as a friendly reminder the checkin was at 3pm and an earlier checkin would incur a $30 fee. This was a bit of nickel and diming. - not every bedroom had air-conditioning - this might be an issue for some parties -although the house is listed for a party of 11 - only 4 sun loungers were available We enjoyed our stay at this house - however given the aforementioned issues we can only rate this rental as 4 stars instead of 5.

We wanted to plan a vacation with 3 generations of extended family for spring break, so we were looking for something spacious and comfortable. We didnt want to stay on a crowded mega-resort, but wanted the convenience of amenities nearby. This house was perfect! It is a good size and easily accommodated our group of 9. It has a large kitchen and living area, perfect for family gathering. The back has a large sliding glass wall that opens out onto the patio and yard. The pool was a perfect size for the kids and there were pool toys to keep them busy. My daughter was so excited to go swimming that she ran face first into the glass wall, so we put some painters tape on them to prevent more accidents. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the kids loved the bunk room. The kitchen is very well stocked with cookware and dishware. In fact, our concierge was able to help us arrange a private chef to cook us an amazing 4-course meal our first night there so we didn’t have to worry about going to the store when we arrived. If you aren’t familiar with Puerto Aventuras, it is a large gated residential community which has everything from condos and single-family homes to estate mansions and smaller resorts. It seems many of the residents are year round. But what’s amazing is it has its own small town centered around a marina as well as its own beaches. There are restaurants and stores everywhere, a farmers market on Wed and Sat, and a local artisan fair on Sun. There are plenty of activities from snorkeling to boat cruises. And there are dolphins and sea lions in the marina which you can just watch for free or pay to swim with. The town is easily walkable and less than a five minute walk from the house. Our concierge also helped arrange a golf cart rental, which came in handy getting the kids and the grandparents around. It’s also good to get to some of the other restaurants a little further from the marina like Chez Waffle and the juice bar. Speaking of restaurants - too many to name them all, but O Sole Mio, Don Cafeta, Nauti Burritos, and Pineapple were our favorites. And finally, the concierge was extremely responsive, helping to arrange transfers and amenities which made our trip very enjoyable! If we come back to Mexico, we will definitely be staying here again!
