I first have to say the staff and front desk were great, delivered on what they said they would do. Rare at a big resort. The food here is terrible! I mean below average. All the meats are way overcooked, the same buffet items day after day, just regurgitated and once the food is fine it’s just mixed into another dish. Standard for all inclusive I know but I basically stopped eating after day 4 reserving myself to and fresh fruit or available vegetables. The sodium content is mind boggling and just not necessary!! We had 1 good meal at al la cart and that was the filet at Le Gourmet, it was very good. I know it’s hard to feed that many people but I have been to a few all inclusive and food wise this was the worst. Cobá buffets is the worst of all, akumel is a little better, tequila buffet was horrible and telum was bad too. (Sorry to be so negative) The transportation shuttles à la Mexican style were a bit challenging too. Sometimes waiting up to 40 min to get from one resort to the other. Staff is awesome, they made us change rooms and all was taken care of, we had to get a bed for one of the kids it was there within 40 min. All that was great. No real beach to say, not like other resorts, very rockey and sparse.

Yoga class with Ronaldo was a highlight and excellent. Swim up bar was wonderful, beach and water beautiful. Loud music til 11pm we could hear from our room kept me up at night.

We stayed at the Bahía Coba resort which is basic tier of the resorts. The beds were very stiff and the buffet food was decent. Although, there was little communication on how to book the private restaurants for the week that we stayed.

Rooms were clean but dated, drinks were watered down, food choices were limited and quality was quite poor. A la carte's were fully booked and could not secure a reservation. Front desk staff were no help. No direct access to the beach only by shuttle and the quality of the beach was bad. Short shoreline, sea weed everywhere with little to no maintenance, waves were rough in this area.

Very dated. Mosquitoes in the room. Rooms are very cold. No screens on the patio doors. No snack areas. Impossible to make reservations at any of the sit down dinner spots. I was there 7 days and they only allow you 2 reservations. But they are so booked, we will only be able to get one restaurant booked for the whole week. Eating at a buffet every single day for every meal is not ok

The rooms and people were lovely, it was just that there wasn't much to do in the hotel. Aside from swimming in the pool and beach, there wasn't much else to do. The food was also just okay, nothing special about it. I wish the hotel has more to offer.

The resort as a whole was clean and the staff was all very friendly. We really enjoyed the opportunity to use all of the different hotels within the resort property. The concierge was also very helpful with tips and answering all of our questions. Great experience!

Overall, I was disappointed with the poor communication. Emails were not answered, requests were not acknowledged, and staff did not seem willing to accommodate or fully understand our needs. As we were staying for a wedding and the other party was at the same hotel, this made the experience more complicated than it should have been. Unfortunately, it was not an easy or smooth stay.

Let me first start by saying the staff at the resort was wonderful. Everybody was friendly and helpful. They get five stars!!! The resort itself was always clean and beautiful. The rooms are outdated but still are clean. They need to figure out why they are so humid however. Each room would benefit by having a dehumidifier in it. I found this very hard to sleep every evening with so much humidity in my room when the outside air wasn’t that humid. The bed was also as hard as a rock, I’m used to sleeping on a memory foam mattress, so this was a big challenge for me to try to find a comfortable position with it being so hard I might as well been sleeping on the floor. There really is not a swim able beach at the Coba property, if you want a nicer beach, you should stay at the Tulum property or Akumal. The Akumal property had a smaller portion of swimable beach, but it was very crowded. The food at the buffet was very subpar. Same things every day and low quality. The quality of food at Akumal was better. The à la carte restaurants are also better than the buffets. The entertainment was also five star. Especially the urban show and The Rock show. The lead singer to the rock show she is amazing. The bottom line for the price this is a great vacation. The resort did a wonderful job with customer service and making you feel very welcome. I just wish the food was a little bit better quality.
