Our stay truly exceeded every expectation. From the second we arrived, you could immediately feel how organized, polished, and intentional the entire experience was. We were welcomed with the sweetest anniversary surprise.. champagne, fruit, and a happy anniversary ribbon on our door which instantly made the trip feel special & personal. Even the arrival process stood out. Champagne at front entrance. Then inside after check the bellhop met us at welcome bar & personally escorted us to our room, toured the room with us, explained everything and made us feel completely welcomed. What impressed us most was the level of service across the entire resort. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. You can genuinely tell the staff is exceptionally well trained, and everyone works together seamlessly to create an elevated luxury experience that still feels relaxed and welcoming.The restaurants were outstanding- honestly some of the best all-inclusive food we’ve had. Room service was also delicious. The property itself was spotless at all times and beautifully maintained. We also loved how spread out the pools were. Most never felt overcrowded, which made it easy to relax and enjoy different areas of the resort. The swim-up bar pool was definitely the liveliest and busiest. The excellence club, beach section, and private pool access made the experience feel even more elevated. Overall I give it a 10. We are going to book again for same time next year!

I just wanted to say that I wasn’t impressed about this Hotel. Not everyone was friendly, the help desk was ok! All I can say is that they did their job. I can’t say above and beyond friendly like other hotels I have stayed in Cancun. I really had high expectations but overall was ok. I just want to mention a couple people that I was very impressed about their service. Hugo the pool waiter and Jose the gentleman that assist with luggage both were above and beyond friendly, attentive, respectful and very helpful. Other thing I want to mention that I was very disappointed is that we are not obligated to use the taxis outside the hotel. We as guest have our freedom to choose our own transportation. I called uber several times and the taxi guys were very rude to them. I understand they see them as competitors but is not their fault is our decision to call them and I think this should be addressed by the hotel management due to the guests feels disrespected every time the taxi guys gets rude and disrespectful to the uber drivers. Overall was Ok. Nice property .

Very clean and well put together property. The staff in all aspects was attentive and eager to help or serve. The pools are cleaned every early morning as I was up early to see them scrubbing. The rooms were great. Clean and the air was perfect. The beach was beautiful, but the ocean was less than desirable. I touched it once and that was enough. Maybe it was the season? To that end, I stayed in the pool areas and I was very happy with that experience. Highly recommend this resort. Price v Experience is top notch. 25 minutes from the airport is a big plus as well. I was a single traveler to this resort for 4 days because the spa is fantastic. This resort had very little singles (mostly couples), but the environment is so relaxing that everyone talks to everyone. Food was better than expected in every restaurant. The seafood dishes were fantastic. Olas has a great augachile dish which hits perfect for lunch.

Wonderful stay. Great mix of food options and all were high quality. We liked the smaller portions so that you could try different menu items. There were many places to hang out depending on if you wanted to be closer to a party atmosphere (blue pool bar) or more relaxed (lazy river and beach area). Would highly recommend. The only downside to the resort was the seaweed on the beach but that was due to the time of year and the hotel workers were working their best to have the area in front of the resort cleared.

The grounds were absolutely beautiful especially noticeable during our nightly walks. Food for the most part was really good (4.5), although wish there was a better variation for lunch. Drinks were great and not watered down like in most resorts. There was a wonderful variety of things to do which made staying 7 days feel short. Given the price I paid ( not cheap), I would rate my experience a 4.5 but averaging up as half stars aren't accepted and feel a 4 rating would not do this resort justice. Would definitely consider going again. My only beef, unrelated to the resort experience, is that all subsequent ads I've received for Excellence resorts quote prices in USD (instead of CAD) which is always more expensive once I do the conversion than booking through a Cdn site.

Everything was good except for the food. It was terrible. We ate at 3 restaurants and all the food was bland or not authentic to the restaurant name.

Pros: Staff, layout, restaurant availability, small but intimate, an effort with activities, gym, tennis and pickle ball with bikes available. Property is kept up with, bars, beach cabanas and shows, rooms are huge. Cons: the beach is not clear, cannot snorkel, the spa services are extremely overpriced, gf saw bar staff pouring bottle water in an alcohol bottle, some portions for dinners are small, food at steak house and spice hibachi grill was poor. Wish they had later activities, the night ends at 11-12 leaving much to desire for night time fun

We loved the property! The pool and lazy river were phenomenal. Swim up bar was awesome and the pool entertainment was decent(we were hoping for better and a little more interactive)The beach was beautiful but unfortunately the water was very brown due to the tides bringing in seaweed. Downwind, had quite the stench! Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay immensely! Staff was really friendly! Maid service cleaned our room twice a day(wait what? ) Fully stocked bar!! Restaurants were above average and entertainment was actually pretty good. We are basically: Get up, work- out, breakfast,pool, cocktails,nap, shower, dinner, more cocktails, dance or show and more cocktails then bed! And whatever in between!😂 Overall great place for the $$$$$. We'll definitely return again!
