Bright refuge in the heart of Siena

An excellent apartment in the heart of Siena overlooking the old city, a few steps from Piazza del Campo. From its windows on the top floor of a 14th century building you can see a wonderful panorama facing south-west from which emerge the cathedral of the Duomo and the church of San Domenico, as well as the Sienese countryside in the background, as in the fresco of the 14th century by Ambrogio Lorenzetti Il Buongoverno (in the town hall of Siena). The apartment is furnished with care, with attention to detail and has all the comforts: it is ideal for a couple but can accommodate up to 4 people, thanks to a large sofa bed in the lounge. The location is perfect for services, shops and restaurants, being in a quiet and restful area, albeit a few steps from Piazza del Campo.

An excellent apartment in the heart of Siena, overlooking the old town, a few steps from the famous Piazza del Campo. From its windows on the top floor of a building of the fourteenth century we have a wonderful view facing south-west from which emerges the Duomo cathedral and the church of San Domenico, as well as the Tuscan countryside as in the Ambrogio Lorenzetti fresco "Il Good governance "in the Siena Council in Piazza del Campo. The apartment is tastefully furnished with all the comforts and it's perfect for a couple but can accommodate up to 4 people. The location is perfect with a lot of shops, restaurants and interesting things to do, everything in a quiet and peaceful area.

Travelers should be aware that this property is up up several steep flights upstairs of stairs. There are stairs inside the apartment to get from the living area to the kitchen. This necessitates carrying food down to the table in the living area on the stairs.

Loft-y view in center of Siena

Great location in the center of Siena 3 blocks from both the Campo and Doumo. Front view down on the Benedictine cathedral and side view of Duomo out living room and bedroom windows - well-earned from the 3 floors of walk-up . Like a multilevel loft up against the wood-beamed ceiling. Updated but still traditional furnishings. Small but serviceable bathroom. Antonnella was gracious local manager.

Excellent location and fantastic communication

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and the host was exceptional. The check-in was easy and the host extremely kind and helpful. There are a lot of stairs so if you have mobility issues be aware and there was no air-conditioning so mid-summer will be very hot. The location is absolutely outstanding and the hospitality well worth the visit. I would definitely stay at this apartment again. I had an unforgettable experience in Siena - such a magnificent city.

Beautiful apartment on a quiet side street, just a few minutes walk from the Piazza del Campo.

This apartment was absolutely perfect for my stay! The owner is incredibly friendly and accommodating- he was readily available by text for any question I had, is pet friendly and welcomed my dog, and even let me extend my check out until my 4pm departure so I wouldn’t have to carry my bags around. The location is perfect- on a quiet side street away from the crowds, but still only a 3-4 minute walk from the campo. The apartment was perfectly clean, bright and airy and beautifully decorated, with a lovely view of the city. Will happily stay there again the next time I visit Siena!

Great Location, but bells and no parking.

We loved staying in Siena and this location allowed us to live like a local! Bernardo answered all of our question promptly and left us water bottles and a box of cookies. Excellent restaurants and all of the sites are within walking distance of the apartment. It's worth noting that there is no parking close to the apartment, so it's about a 15 minute walk from the edge of the city into the apartment. It was only an issue for us when moving in and out -- the streets are very hilly and the cobblestones are tough on luggage. We also weren't there long enough to get used to the morning church bells. They are very loud and chime every hour starting at 6:45AM. It is part of the charm of Siena, but maybe not for those who prefer to sleep in.

Gorgeous apartment, gracious host

My husband and I were able to stay at this gorgeous apartment during Il Palio. Prior to our arrival, Bernado demonstrated that he was willing to go above and beyond in order to make our experience unforgettable. Bernado's delightful father met us at the apartment and let us in. He showed us all around, and then even gave me a gift to help support the neighborhood. All in all, we had a wonderful time here.
