“Quiet, clean and functional small room. Comfy bed, powerful shower. Nice and cool despite hot weather. Good size TV. Easy check in and check out. Parking was limited and was full. Large public car park 2 mins away and only £3 overnight charge.”

“Nice location , price and ambiance BUT I had three simple questions when I checked in. The receptionist knew the answer to none of them ( had to check ) : would there be coffee in the morning ? Answer No, not til the restaurant opened at 830 am !!!( Old COFFEE Inn ?!? ). Was the restaurant still open ( closing at 8pm ...didn't know what they were serving ). Would the 8pm World Cup match be shown ? ( Mind you there was a sign out front advertising it ). NO, they only put the TV on for England……

“We had an amazing stay, gorgeous shepherds huts in a lovely location. So nice to have the pub nearby! We stayed during the heatwave and our hut was particularly hot, the staff were so nice to prepare another more shaded hut for us for our second night, we really appreciated the gesture! Highly recommend!”

“It was an okay stay. Location was convenient and I liked the idea of pub+hotel - easy for dining and drinking isn't it? However, the hotel rooms honestly need a bit of refurbishing and improvement on cleaniness. Shower faciltiies were a bit old and didn't function quite properly and stains were everywhere to be seen. But other than that price is okay.”

“Check in could be improved. Arrived to a busy pub with customers waiting for service at the bar and no designated check in desk. Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes. The room was okay but not as shown on our booking confirmation - it was an attic room with very steep stairs and a not very safe landing area outside the door. The bathroom had been shoehorned in under a sloping ceiling - there was no shower, just……

“Budget rooms, a little akin to a hostel. Car park covered in broken glass. Rooms and corridors smell of stale smoke masked with air freshener. Bedding was clean and comfortable, but chewing gum stuck to windowsill and picture hanging off wall. Blind broken (husband fixed so could pull down). Holes in walls and poorly fitting doors. People from bar using corridor for getting to car park and fire doors left open. I’m not even mentioning factors outside of the accommodations control such as noise……

“Breakfast was excellent, rooms are clean, warm and comfortable which makes for a good night sleep. Restaurant is convenient, food is of a good quality, prices are competitive and the staff are polite and efficient. All round great experience. Well done Boot Inn”
