The upper fall at Old Man's cave are likely the most well known and photographed in the park.

If you want to see the falls at their peak, head there in late winter/early spring just as the snow melts and preferably after a heavy rain fall. Also if your schedule permits, head there on a weekday morning and you just might have the place to yourself for a bit.

Old Man's Cave derives its name from the hermit Richard Rowe who lived in the large recess cave of the gorge. Rowe lived out his life in the area and is buried beneath the ledge of the main recess cave.

「Loved just about everything about the place! The house felt like home. Super comfy couch and loveseat. Played pool all day with my son. The hot tub was wonderful. The host was easy to communicate with. I would suggest the mattress in the master bed get swapped out as it was rough to sleep on. Besides that this place is going to be our to to for getaways we loved it.」
