6/10 Okay

"The place was ok. It was a bit run down. The king size bed turned out to be a queen. The hot and cold spigot was reversed and it burned me. Three of the five lights in the room didn’t work. The bathtub stopper didn’t work. The food was so so…nothing to write home about. Also worth mentioning is that they use plastics when you order room service…not sustainable or environmentally conscious. The pool however was absolutely fantastic. Deep and saltwater. Excellent."

"I have been staying at Indian Wells Resort for the past 10 years whenever I visit the Coachella Valley because it is a beautiful resort with a great location, clean rooms, friendly staff, and complimentary breakfast. Unfortunately, this recent stay was disappointing from the moment we arrived. My family & I arrived at approximately 3:47 p.m. & attempted to check in. The front desk associate informed us that our room was not ready yet. I mentioned that check-in time was at 4:00 p.m., & she responded that there were still 13 min. remaining until 4:00. While she was technically correct, her tone & attitude felt unwelcoming & unprofessional. In the past, I have often arrived earlier in the day & my room was already available, so this interaction was surprising. Just 3 min later, the same associate informed me that the room was suddenly ready. This left me confused about why we were initially told it was unavailable. I believe the front desk staff are the first representatives of the hotel, & it is important that guests are greeted with professionalism, respect, & a friendly attitude. Additionally, on the day of our departure, my daughter found a bug crawling on her pillow. We reported it to the front desk, & they said they would investigate the issue. This was the first negative experience I have had at this hotel in 10 years of visiting. I truly hope management addresses these concerns because IWR is still a beautiful property with excellent location with a great staff."

Miracle Springs Resort & Spa

2/10 Terrible

"Impressively bad stay, booked last minute for Memorial Day weekend and had low expectations, but, man they couldn't even meet those. We were greeted by a drunk guest telling us why he hated his marriage then waited a half hour to check in, we were second in line. Smoking and drinking at the filthy main pool mid afternoon with everyone playing their own music super loud. Bartender said they'd been may lose their liquor license if their pool is busted again for outside alcohol. The Merlot was pretty good. Pools were not cared for, missing concrete, standing fetid water all over the place. Ice machine and water station too filthy to use. Room 157 had a view of their chaotic repair trailers, a leak above the shower, only very hot water in shower and pillow cases made of sand paper. I wouldn't put bare feet on the carpet. Clientele seem to think it's spring break, even the 5 who paid for dinner and a show with the "Cher". Do not have your worst enemy stay here... They can do better. There's a "sister" property next door that looks even worse. Beware."
