"This hotel is gorgeous with 100 yr. old elegance. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable which allows one to ignore a smaller room (due to the age of the hotel). It is not the fault of the hotel that vagrants encircle the neighborhood causing some pause in a desire to explore the neighborhood. "

"Loved: - beautiful art-deco building retrofit into hotel, especially the lobby and elevator - minimalist room design - great view of downtown skyscrapers from room - rooftop pool, view - walkable to convention center Not a fan: - bed very low, hard, like a futon - rooftop restaurant food quality poor - ground floor restaurant never open - area near hotel very heavy with homeless people (less panhandling, more crazy and yelling)"

"Doubletree is adjacent to Little Tokyo and between 2 Metro stations. For DTLA, it’s a safer alternative to the historic core. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly, and there is an intriguing garden area at the hotel, which is like an oasis amidst the urban sprawl. There’s a nice little coffee spot around the corner inside the Miyako Hotel, and Little Tokyo itself has a nice variety of cafes, stores, and bakeries. Downtown is walkable to Grand Central Market. Plus, the Metro at 1st and Alameda...
