"The room was very spacious and had an amazing water views. We had a lovely relaxing stay at this hotel. It had great amenities with an indoor pool, spa bath and library with beach theme. Wifi connection was excellent as well. It would've been even better if the kitchen had water views. The staff was generally friendly and provided great service, however, we would have appreciated it if we were advised of the schedule of shuttle bus from Atami Station to the hotel as we had to catch taxi on...
"Nice location on the hill with views of the ocean and mountains. Nice onsen on the roof with a nice deck as well for relaxing. No elevator which was fine for us but might be an issue if you have mobility issues. Staff very friendly and accomdating."
"We were the only guests and thus had the whole house for ourselves. Amazing new outdoor Onsen and very spacious room with a wonderfull view. Very clean and good futon beds. Well equipped kitchen. We totally enjoyed our stay at Ikkyuan!"
"We were absolutely blown away by this wonderful hotel. Weโve stayed at many 5-star hotels around the world, but this one was by far our favorite. The service and food were exceptional, and every member of the staff was incredibly professional. Our time in Atami couldnโt have been better!"

Atami Korakuen Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"A good place to stay and relax. Only down side is that there are some communication barriers since I don't speak Japanese and the staff doesn't really speak English, but they did try their best to communicate with you, things like prepared cards and using translation app on their cell phone."
"The rooms are big but sparsely decorated. Bed mattresses are hard and uncomfortable. They provide very limited amenities in the bathroom. Finally, considering that is marketed as a family resort, there are very limited and simple number of activities.
On the positive side, staff are very professional and dedicated to improving customer experience. Additionally, breakfast is abundant and with great variety.
Overall, this place is not worth the price. It would be rated at best a three stars in international markets. "
"Purchase the dinner and breakfastโexcellent buffets and beautiful dining room. Hotel has extraordinary ocean view. No need to leave the property as it has 3 onsens, restaurants, and activities."
"
SOKI Atami is a beautiful and tranquil retreat. I thoroughly enjoyed the private onsen on my outdoor terrace, with its serene view overlooking the sea. The amenities are first-class, and the service is beyond reproach.
As a design professional with a deep appreciation for Japanese aesthetics, I found joy in every detailโfrom the architecture to the textures and tones. Every element felt intentional and quietly luxurious.
My only suggestion would be to offer more variety in the dining options. The dinner menu, while exquisite and beautifully prepared, is a fixed multi-course meal. Itโs undeniably delicious but might be too expensive for guests to enjoy every night of their stay.
The Japanese-style breakfast is also excellentโnutritious and thoughtfully presented. That said, as a guest from the U.S., I would appreciate the option of a lighter, Western-style breakfast. I understand this may not fully align with the hotel's concept, but I wanted to share this perspective as a matter of comfort and inclusivity.
Overall, I would come back in a heartbeat!"
