「The owners are spectacular! Communication was prompt and great. Wonderful experience catching seafood from the docks. We loved sitting on the screened in porch. It was perfect for our dog. The area is beautiful and loved learning about the local ecosystem. Ate at the old school diner which was a 5 star experience and explored the Harris neck nature trail. I would love to come back once or twice annually. Can’t wait to be back!」

「Perfect little spot for a stopover for a night or two if you have a long drive up or down 95. My wife and I stayed there with our puppy. 2 miles to 95 and everything was walkable. Friendly neighborhood and very close to the water. Bungalow was very clean and had what you needed for a short stay. A great alternative to getting a hotel.」

「This was a great place to stay especially if you have a bike and kayak. We drove and biked through the refuge and enjoyed it more on the bikes. We did a short kayak trip on Harris Neck Creek at high tide and it was beautiful. We will definitely be coming back!」

「We had the entire 81-acre property to ourselves (we didn't realize it was deer fly season LOL) and enjoyed ourselves. We stayed in the Rum Runner's Cabin which was immaculately clean throughout, had nice towels and linens, it was a few steps from the boardwalk to Knox Creek Dock and has an interesting history. 「Beautiful views and relaxing environment. Could use some signage to indicate which property to pull into, as there are various at this address. However, the host was right on it an guided us in. Appreciated the little conveniences provided and being immersed in nature. Beds were very comfortable. Would stay here again. 」
