Good stay overall. It was a bummer that we couldn’t get dinner reservations for the first two nights we were there. It would be nice if reservations could be made in advance. Other than that we had a great stay!

My stay wasn't good nor bad. What i liked about the hotel was the food, great staff, and how clean it is. Vanilly the waiter is the best, since our 1st day he became part of our stay. Always greeted us with a smile, and our last night there we went to see him to get our last hug. Sadly i believe there was more that we didn't like. The rooms were smaller than we thought. The beach gave me a rash and red dots on my skin. The life guards applied some ointments but did very little. I asked the front desk for a doctor, but I was told that I had to pay since they were not responsible. On another day we had went to have lunch, and we left our belongings on the chairs. When we returned, my inhaler was stolen. Why someone would steal an inhaler is beyond me. I went to the front desk to let the management know, and nothing was done about it. I had to walk 10 minutes from the resort to the nearest pharmacy and purchase a new one for 500 pesos. The manager said again that it wasn't there responsibility for stolen items, although they have cameras. The pool was clean but very cold. The day time entertainment could be a lot better. From my personal opinion, if the resort is in Mexico, play Mexican music. Be proud of your heritage. Why have entertainment from a Dominican Republic band if your hotel is in Mexico? Again that is just my personal opinion.

room felt neglected. there were ants in the room due-to which i got stung. the housekeeping made me wash the bedding by hand just to show them that the stains of makeup and blood (i got hurt) are removable which they stated was otherwise and had imposed a replacement charge on me . the staff was not helpful and cooperative . every service staff has problems and will work only if you tip beforehand . terrible stay

PROS - Staff was awesome. Five star! - Clean and charming feel - This is a budget hotel (Do NOT overpay) - Nightly entertainment was good (having a set stage for performances helps) CONS - Due to location, Pretty much no beach. Can’t do many normal beach activities (beach volleyball impossible) - Restaurant reservations. Drove me crazy. You are NOT allotted your full stay’s worth of restaurants. Getting the one you want (example Italian) AND at the time you want was beyond challenging. Making it more frustrating was restaurants were always only half full - Food overall could be better - No true lounge. They just put a bunch of tables and chairs at end of lobby. And….. - Last call at lounge 11:00 pm. Place is empty quickly after

Rooms were clean, staff was great. The food was pretty good but the reservation situation was less than adequate. Bars were only stocking quality liquor. Beverage options were not adequate and should consider stepping that up.

I didn’t get to stay because of the unrest in Mexico and the citizens of the US being targets for kidnapping and killing. The hotel was very nice about setting up a refund but because I booked with Expedia I didn’t get the refund or credit to go when it was safe. I contacted the hotel and they were very polite and responsive. I just know if I stayed the resort would have been great and all I hoped it would have been.

Aside from breakfast, the food was horrendous. Our AC stopped working the first night (I think on purpose) and kicked back on 45 seconds after I spoke to someone about it. Drinks are fine but servers never come around. Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

Rooms were clean and the support staff was good. Be wary of the number of restaurants you could go to even if you’ve paid for a7-day visit. Also, book your restaurants within the first couple of days. Beach wasn’t great but a good all inclusive place.

This resort did what they are supposed to do. It’s good for my expectations. One thing I don’t like is the way they are trying to sell the membership. After checking in, a lady with uniform told us it’s their resort’s program, to present the other better occidental resort, customer s can have lunch there, might get good discounts in the future bla bla. They paid taxi to send us to the other occidental resort. One lady there worked with us, showed us the resort, had lunch with us… at the end, they presented the membership deal. We rejected it, they sent us back with prepaid taxi. If I knew it was for selling membership, I wouldn’t spend time on it.

The food options for breakfast, lunch and dinner were terrible. The 24hr snack bar was just as bad, if not worse. The serving stations were never clean, utensils were dirty and there were gnats on the fruits and vegetables. The drinks were also bad. Drinks had minimal liquor, made up of mainly syrups and sugars. Nothing was served fresh. There was no kind of authentic Mexican food or drinks throughout the entire resort. The “Mexican” restaurant they have onsite has nothing authentic to it. We had to leave the resort to find something appetizing and edible. The waitstaff was rude and didn’t move with urgency. Customer service was also rude. We had issues with one of our rooms due to extreme condensation, electrical outlets not working along with the phone not working either. When we asked staff for assistance, they were short with us. I do NOT recommend staying at this resort.
