“The inn has a fascinating history and is very elegant indeed! The breakfast was very tasty. While very convenient to downtown and lots of shopping and dining options, the street can be quite noisy with lots of light which can make sleeping -- depending on the location of one's room -- a bit challenging. ”

“We loved our visit the exquisite Morgan State House Inn. We stayed in the annexed studio apartment 3 doors down, with a handy kitchenette. The room was immaculate and well appointed with period details. It was still wintery, so we appreciated having control over the radiator (we prefer a cooler room). Continental breakfast in the main inn was simple - the baked goods were so delicious. The staff were kind and helpful. We would definitely book again.”

“A lot of thought and detail went into this place and pretty much every little thing was appreciated to include the buttermilk pancake/waffle mix. It was awesome in the winter and I bet it’s even better in the summer. I can’t recommend this enough to couples looking to get away without getting too far away. I actually did recommend this to a number of people!”

“This place is a gem. We loved our brief stay at this charming, old-school lodge on a lake. We were welcomed with mulled cider (adult mix), brownies, and kindness by a charming hostess who turned was helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean and well appointed. We had a lovely view of Laurel Lake. The bed was comfortable and the bedding of high quality. Breakfast more than met our exectations. We can't wait to come back!”
