"Beautiful, peaceful resort. Food at all 3 restaurants was amazing. Kids loved all play areas and the pool with a lazy river was a hit. They have a petting zoo with alpacas, mini horses, Texas longhorns. You can go horseback riding. Rooms were large and updated. It is about 25 minutes to downtown Austin and 9 miles from a Bucc-eels! Had a great stay. "

"The historical building is neat, and the room was clean, roomy and comfortable. It is a nice place to stay within walking distance to many attractions. The gym is huge and impressive. However, the front desk staff was not knowledgeable or friendly. Dealing with the assistant manager regarding a charge after checkout was a nightmare. She was ill-mannered and inefficient. She finally credited my account without an apology after repeated phone calls. It’s a nice hotel, but due to their incompetent...

"The property was nice. My problem was with the description of the room given by Expedia. When we arrived at the room I thought I was in a nightmare. It was like a motel room, and I thought wow, this was half price. So I called the concierge and the upgraded my room for a very low price. It was like going from hell to heaven. The room was off the lake and there was a few options for things for us to do. The staff there was very nice and easy to talk with."
