La Quinta Inn & Suites Croton-on-Hudson hotels

"This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. First, they wanted me to leave them a review upon CHECK IN, in order to waive my daily parking fee. Very glad I opted to say I’m not reviewing the place before I even stay here. We got to our room and it was filthy. Food crumbs and wrappers all over the floor, cat toys on the floor left from previous guests, a white crushed up powder on the pull out desk drawer. I went to the front desk and they gave us a new room on a floor “no one has ever complained about.” Yeah, okay. We get to the knew room, and the floor was on such a slant that NONE of the dresser drawers or desk drawer would stay shut. Permanently open. Tv was slanted forward. God forbid you need to use the fridge because everything will also fall out of that when you open it, too. The shower had disgusting residue leftover in the soap holder and 2 bottles of conditioner - no shampoo. It stank like stale cigarettes. They advertise a pool and fitness center - both closed of course! And one working elevator for all 7 floors was a nightmare in the mornings. Do not stay here. "

"We have stayed at this hotel a few times. Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast is what you’d expect, not great but the coffee was good. Very close to Capitol Theater. "

"My first day wasn't too bad the second one was horrible keys will not work no power to the lock give me a different room. I was so tired I just laid down and then when I went to take a shower there was only one towel no wash clothes "

"We really enjoyed our stay. Our rooms were placed right next to each other even though one was last second and booked months after. The beds were soft and comfortable. Nice air conditioning units. Rooms looked exactly like the photos, and even though you can only get into the rooms with your keycards they still come with two additional locks which made us feel very secure. The property is very close to a highway but we didn’t hear any traffic at all. The staff were very nice. The only things even close to issues we had was 1) we put the “please service our room tag” in our door and it wasn’t done 2) there was no plastic shower curtain so water got all over the floor 3) a single pixel stripe was out in our tv but it got easy to ignore. "
