"We booked this hotel off of its rating and accolades shown in their site. I do feel, however, that it is VERY overpriced. We were disappointed in this upon arriving to Charleston and seeing what other options we had at much better nightly rates (in fact half the cost) based on when we originally booked the room. "My wife and I spent a couple of very pleasant days staying at the Inn while visiting Charleston. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location can't be beat for a visit to Charleston's historic downtown. The room was a two-level suite with kitchen facilities that offered everything we could want. The hotel also has access to a lovely outdoor courtyard. The facilities are a bit dated, but mostly charming. A very positive experience overall."

"The TV in our room never worked properly. I told the front desk the first day and asked again. No one ever came to check the TV. It was out of focus. Also, the site advertised free breakfast and a pool; there was no breakfast at all… not even coffee in lobby and the pool was drained. The staff did not offer alternatives to breakfast even though there was a place attached to one part of the hotel. I thought it was closed. My room was clean but the stairs and outside was not swept and sloppy....
