"The hotel was nice. Breakfast was good and had a variety and changed it up each day. Housekeeping attention to the kitchen was lacking. The block the hotel is on is dirty and lined with homeless drunk/high people. No matter which direction you come from you have to walk by them. "

"The rooms looks spacious on the site, they are extremely small. Our first and second nights were fine then we had to switch rooms because there was no hot water to shower. Maintenance did come quick but was unable to fix. We were put into another room for the last night there. Woke up, coffee pot didn’t work. "

"Location was amazing and the room was very clean. Front desk staff was amazing (forgot to tell us how to turn the lights on in the room, but after going down they informed us). In room coffee maker was broken, but was replaced while were out for the day. Entrance was lovely, but because the door sets back, there were always people sitting on benches asking for money and the tour pitch people were mostly blocking you from going past them (theme throughout though). I would stay there again."

"We stayed here 2 nights. It is close to Times Square, Grand Central station, shows, etc. The staff was really nice and genuinely went out of their way to assist us. The room was larger than I expected being in Manhattan. We were given plenty of towels, a variety of toiletries and things, etc. There is a great taco stand next door. Try it. You’ll love it. I am making plans to come back to The Doxie now. "
