"The two ladies at the front desk are awesome. I forgot their names, but one worked the night shift and the other was a Dutch lady. Both incredibly sweet and kind. Breakfast was taken care of by one of them and she kept everything clean and stocked. And both super cool to talk to. This may be the first time that we re-book a hotel in Monterey! "
"We stayed here for one night, and for a night's stay we enjoyed the hotel. It is centrally located to coffee shops, restaurants, and only a short drive to the wharf and aquarium. The hotel is quaint, with a lot of charm, and our standard king room was small, but for an overnight stay it was just fine. The bed and pillows were very comfy, and the rooms don't seem to have AC/heating, but we like to sleep in a cool room, so we kept the windows slightly open. Staff was very friendly, check in was simple, and we did use the $30 (a night) valet since we knew we wouldn't be needing our car during our stay, and we didn't want to have to park at one of the parking structures a block or so away. FYI, if you do want to use the valet, you will have to park in their "loading zone" which is not located near the main entrance, this is located in the back entrance and you will see a sign that'll let you know it's the hotel's loading zone. Once you unload your luggage, check in leave and leave your keys with the front desk and they will then take your car to their valet lot."
